Eden's Nook is such a peaceful campsite..full of birds during the day and star viewing at night. The facilities are great, including the barbeque hut and Jane and Neville couldn't have been more helpful. And Jane's breakfast is delicious! We'll be back!

Eden’s Nook is a beautiful retreat from day to day life, with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. I got a warm welcome on arrival and shown around the site, being the only one booked I was able to fully enjoy the indoor fire pit and bbq, the excellent showers and stunning scenery (the clear sky was something very special)! The site is well equipped with anything you might have forgotten and the hosts are lovely and helpful.

Incredible camping experience. The owners couldn't have been any more helpful and friendly. The toilets and showers are extremely clean and warm. Amazing views. Absolute pleasure staying here. Also the breakfast was perfect, I highly recommend you try it!

4 nights at Henbant Permaculture Farm + Camp

We really enjoyed camping here. It was so peaceful and the views were stunning. We went on many days trips to various places and it's was lovely to come back to our pitch and settle in for the night. Having the farm shop was great too with fresh produce from the farm itself and fire wood for the fire pits. I had never used a composting toilet system before but I got used to it fairly quickly, there is a shower and flushing toilet down by the farm shop for those who would prefer it though. We would definitely return in the future. Thank you again for a wonderful visit.

We had an absolutely lovely stay here. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which only added to a fabulous location. George, the horse mugged us for polos 😊 A great spot to get away from things and chill next to the stream. Dave was a great host and made sure every thing was ok.

Henbant is in a beautiful spot with spectacular sea views and the ethos of the site would inspire and suit many people. It’s not the place for a cosy camping experience with modern facilities, so depends on what you’re looking for.

Lovely atmosphere and well stocked shop. Toilet facilities were great and the whole site was very peaceful and clean. The animals are friendly and so we're the people. The sauna was bliss after a long days walk. Have already recommended it to friends and family and I will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Pytingwyn Woods

Great location - right next to Brecon town centre! But also very wild! David was a great host and very friendly. I don’t recommend driving to your pitch as my 4x4 got stuck (which David helped me recover!). Great woods surrounding with a lovely stream. We had the place to ourselves and it was so tranquil. Plenty of flat space at the bottom of both fields and even in the woods if you wish. Everything for a camp fire is provided (stones and wood) but I’d recommend bringing your own dried logs if it’s been raining as they are stored outside. We can’t wait to return when it’s a little warmer!

It’s as close to a wild camping experience as you’ll get. For £12 a night per person it’s an absolute bargain. Lovely site. The owner is really nice chap. We’ve been twice and we will be going every year until we can’t.

Weekend Trip to Henbant Permaculture Farm + Camp

We stayed in a campervan in November with our 18m old and dog. We loved walking down to see the pigs and cows in the woods and the cats and dogs by the farm itself. Owners and volunteers were all very friendly. Highly recommend and will visit again. Great views too!

Coed Obry

Coed Obry is a 5.5 acre private woodland on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It has its own private gated access from the road and a 50m track leads from the A 4085 to a small car park for 5 vehicles. Paths lead from there to the caravan, bunkhouse, camping areas. There is a compost toilet block and sink (cold water tap) in the centre of the wood shared by all visitors. The notice board in the car park provides visitors with maps, photos and information about the wood, and there are laminated maps showing the routes of around 30 local walks which visitors are welcome to borrow during their stay. Canoe, kayaks and paddle boards are available to hire in Coed Obry and there are several fire pits with seasoned firewood for sale. There is no mains water so visitors are requested to bring their own drinking water, but rain water harvesting systems provide water for washing. Nearby there are several outstanding beaches within 1-3 miles and there is good access to the mountains of Snowdonia; the Afon Dwyryd provides an excellent sheltered river/estuary for canoeing and paddle boarding; the slate quarries and tourist attractions of Blaenau Ffestiniog, rock climbing at Tremadog (2 miles); spectacular waterfalls at Croesor (1 mile); the Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Railway (0.5 miles); the Glaslyn Osprey Centre (1 mile); several shops, restaurants, hostelries and Spar shop in Penrhyndeudraeth (1 mile); three large supermarkets and a regional shopping centre in Porthmadog (2.5 miles).
