The Peoples Farm! located on 1 acre in idyllwild, California. We are a small farm with Alpacas, Barn Cats and many fruit trees! camping is surrounded by pines and cedars on a quiet street. we are close to town, about 15 min walk. we accept car camping and tent camping. There is an outdoor shower and a compost toilet. there's also a tiny house where you can charge up and use the kitchen space with oven and basic utensils. Check us out on Instagram @theepeoplesfarmThe garden site is tucked inside the garden area that is suitable for Tent camping it's located on the back section of the 1 acre property. there's an outhouse a short walk away and an outdoor shower that's heated by the sun. We have cabins in the front of property & Alpacas and many barn cats around

Tent

This spot is the perfect balance between private in the woods and quick drive into town. Idyllwild is idyllic and was the perfect reset for me.

Host is communicative but site just kind of feels like camping in someone’s backyard with a lot of traffic noise. Idyllwild is super cute tho!

Convenient stay close to town!

We booked this for a one-night stay on a weekend. The site was easy to get to with the helpful instructions from Ossian, who was very responsive and gave us detailed information. The tent was very spacious, clean, and comfortable to sleep in. The compost toilet was clean and didn't smell at all! And of course the alpacas were very cute :) The only thing I would note about the site is that it's not very private. You are close to and in full view of the other cabins onsite and the neighbors on both sides. I could see the neighbor's windows from the shower and that didn't make me feel too comfortable. But if you don't mind these things, its a great place to stay! Very close to town. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a camping experience with the convenience of a large tent.

Awesome spot, amazing hosts.

Loved this spot! Having a bathroom and access to a shower was awesome, and our hosts were super communicative ahead of time about the fact that the kitchen was being worked on so it wasn’t available. That was fine and helped us plan accordingly to bring cooking stuff. When my old van needed a little patience starting up, they offered to give us a jump and were kind, warm hearted, and all around wonderful folks with great energy. Hope to stay here again soon!

It was a quiet property and easy to find. The directions about where to pop a tent were confusing. We thought we were reserved the whole garden area, but when we arrived, there was another tent pitched. The only flat place to pitch our tent was a foot from the other tent. We could hear the other campers all night and morning. The whole property is on a gradient. It was nice the shared kitchen had a sink, but it looked like cat shit on one of the stove coil burners. Shower had very low pressure. Not enough to wash hair. Outhouse was clean!
