Amazing location. The view alone is hard to stop looking at. Flat pitches, well spaced out. Incredible scandi-shower-huts (that view again). Clean facilites. Close to the shops and pubs of Shaftsbury up the lane. Lovely Host.

We visited with our two small children and dog in our roof tent. The site was easy to find and we received a friendly welcome once we had pitched up. The facilities are basic but very clean and well maintained. There is a lovely walk into Shaftesbury which we all enjoyed. I would recommend bringing a baby/toddler carrier if you are planning to use the footpath with small children as it is not suitable for a buggy.

Spectacular views and fabulous ground for pitching a tent, never too close to neighbours but nice to know they were there.
The more you stay you appreciate just how much work Jason puts into this site and it is his efforts that make your stay such a pleasurable experience - even down to hedge and verge cutting so your walk into town is easier.
We awoke to the sounds of cows, sheep and donkeys and then to cap it all (for me anyway) the Rolls Royce Merlin engine of a Spitfire flying right across the view in front of our tent!
Throw in Church bells for good measure and you have the quintessential english country scene, absolutely perfect.
I would never tire of that view but there is so much you can do within an hour from the site that you could easily lose two weeks and still want to return for more.
For us, it is what a camp site should be.
