Totally UNPLUG on this 5 acre parcel of forest land with a camping area, including fire pit, and outhouse. This land is for the true wilderness camper experience. If you like it quiet, dark at night and no city lights this is for you! Rugged and VERY secluded. No other campers in sight. Learn more about this land: If you truly like wilderness camping deep in the UP of Michigan this is the perfect spot for you. Just 20 minutes from Marquette, and 20 minutes to Munising.  This is the perfect home base to explore Munising or Marquette. Totally isolated 5 acres in the woods. Extremely quiet and peaceful, surrounded only by nature.  Fire pit available, very rustic outhouse. Nestled in hemlocks and other conifers. Beautiful in summer and autumn. This location is just outside of Marquette county. Lake Superior is just a few minutes away. The camping area is truly for the  hardy soul and nature lover.  I will supply plenty of information about the area and things to do. Just message me if you have any questions. The camping site does not have an address. I will meet campers in the village of 'Deerton' which is only a few minutes from the camping area. You must arrive by 7:00 PM due to the location! I would like to add that June can be a bad month for bugs depending on the weather so I offer the JUNE SPECIAL: FREE FIREWOOD! Late summer and fall are beautiful times to camp in the UP. Any questions just ask. Due to this location only tent camping please! Motor homes do not work. A good fire can also help. Again, it just depends on the timing and the weather. I get that question a lot so that is my best answer. The drive in is short, but a bit rocky in a couple spots. SUV is recommended, but has been done with a car taking it slow and easy!

Loved the location, very private. Plenty of firewood on site which was great for the evening campfire and cooking. Judy was very hospitable and I will be coming back, if possible.

This land was exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway with the pup: secluded, beautiful, and in a convenient location! Judy was a great host and her communication was excellent. The camp is an awesome spot and the layout is perfect for tent camping. Despite being so secluded, we were still able to get pretty good cell service which is an added bonus. The location is right between Marquette and Munising so it is convenient for those seeking to hike and explore those areas. We would absolutely stay here again!

Judy's site was exactly what we needed! It was a perfect, secluded getaway. Judy was super responsive to any of our needs/questions and the firewood on site was a huge plus! The location was great, as well. Plenty of great hikes and things to do nearby. I would absolutely stay at Judy's Hipcamp again!

Great place to stay if you are prepared for rustic camping. Bring tp and bug spray. You will need an SUV to get down the drive but once there it is a quiet, peaceful five acres. With a bonus shed if you want to escape the elements. Judy was very accommodating and her directions were easy to follow. We will be back!

I absolutely loved Judy's site! It was exactly what I wanted and needed; secluded, quiet, no cell service (for me, anyway), beautiful, but still a short drive to the beach and civilization if I wanted it. Judy is very thoughtful and it is obvious she cares about the well-being of her guests. I tent camped, and it was private and perfect! I highly recommend this site!
