Wendouree is owned by the Hood family who operate a mixed farming enterprise on Wendouree, and neighbouring properties Glenora and Cherry Gardens. The Wendouree Creek Paddock mostly remains unused but may have stray sheep on it from time-to-time. The property has been owned and operated by the Cunich / Hood family for five generations.Enjoy camping by a shaded creek approximately 8 kilometres from Parkes. Unwind and relax in a beautiful setting with birds and native animals. Parkes is well-known for the Elvis Festival and "The Dish" which is a short drive via dirt back roads. Campers are welcome to enjoy a campfire when local regulations permit (not during summer or dry months). We try to keep the area tidy but as it’s part of a working farm there are times (sowing and harvest) when we’re just too busy to slash or mow … or the tractor is being used elsewhere. There are no amenities here, suitable for self contained campers who leave no trace.

We had a great 3 nights, we didn’t see Lana but Andrew was very obliging and asking us if we needed anything. it was a perfect place to unwind after a day at the parkes Elvis Festival and we would most definitely stay again. Deb and Maurice (Tas)
