Come and camp on the banks of a creek, where the bushranger Ben Hall used to camp with his horses in the mid 1800s! The property is located smack bang in the middle of Young, Forbes, West Wylong and Cowra - taking about an hour to drive to each. The is plenty to do and see in the area, including exploring the nearby Weddin Mountains National Park and Bimbi State Forest. Just 20 minute North is the quaint town of Grenfell. Tucked into the beautiful Lachlan Valley, Grenfell is a fascinating gold rush town with great galleries, historic buildings and superb country pubs. There are also many events celebrating the town’s rich history and culture. Campers will enjoy flat, grassy sites on this 15 acre block. The creek is suitable for swimming, fishing, gabbling and paddling, and is quite wide in spots. This campsite suits self contained campers, who bring their own facilities and leave no trace. We loved the arra and sit. We had it all to ourselves with the exception of 3 beautiful horses. It is a good place if you just want to get away from everything.

This was an oasis in the middle of nowhere. Very private and birdlife was amazing. Very picturesque with the lake and backdrop. We will be back.

Another wonderful stay at Ben Hall. We had the place to ourselves for a wonderful afternoon swimming and relaxing with amazing star gazing into the night. The directions are on point now with signs too. Thanks.

The location felt remote, peaceful and we were lucky enough to have the site to ourselves. Vince also escorted us to the venue when he saw us turn in from the main road 🙂 We'd set an alarm for the morning but absolutely didn't need to with all the birds 😆
