Legacy Acres is a 74 acre cattle ranch just ten minutes outside of South Mountain State Park in Casar, North Carolina. The land was used for crops and livestock since the early 1800’s and was passed down through the same family for 4 generations. It was sold to a new family in the 1990’s and many improvements were made, such as the creation of the large pond, additional livestock pastures, the barn and farmhouse. However, as the family members became elderly, farming became the too difficult and the land fell into disuse. In the spring of 2021, our family moved from the hustle and bustle of Charlotte city life to this place we now call our home. Our dream is to bring the land back to its original purpose of farming, and to raise our family here, living off the land and sharing that joy with others.  In the near future, we plan to add many more animals, such as chickens, horses, sheep and also various crops.  With this will also come improvements to the campsites such as toilets, paddle boats, picnic tables, and Wifi.  We look forward to sharing this special place with you.  Learn more about this land: Set up your tent next to our 1.5-acre tree-lined pond on our working cattle farm, where beautiful rolling hills and rustic charm await you. We have four sites that can hold up to 6 guests each. Relax around the fire pit, make friends with our farm dog, look for native birds and other wildlife, watch the ducks swim by, or do some catch-and-release fishing. We can’t wait to share the natural beauty of this special place with you.  The campsites are located on a 74-acre cattle ranch. Drinking water is provided from the well, and firewood is available to purchase. Also available to purchase or rent from the hosts are a hammock, folding table, and folding chairs. Pets are welcome, but please note that there are many animals on this property, including cows, donkeys, ducks, geese, finches, herons, hawks, deer, and foxes. Dogs must be on a leash. If you want to get out and explore, the waterfalls of South Mountain State Park are 15 minutes north. Groceries and gas can be found within 10 minutes in Polkville or Casar. Set up your tent next to our 1.5-acre tree-lined pond on our working cattle farm, where beautiful rolling hills and rustic charm await you. Lesley's land is so beautiful and peaceful. I wish I could have stayed longer! There is a friendly little duck that follows you everywhere. It made me smile nonstop! The cows and the donkeys were awesome.
