Our property is a private 25 acre forestry plot connected to an adjoining 130 acre family-owned plot, with only 1 house on the 150+ acres. Most of the land is wooded with a couple large fields. Long private driveway. 3+ miles of private maintained walking trails great for human and dog guests! There are a number of creeks that run on the property and a decent size pond with many species of birds- perfect for watching while having a morning coffee, or for an afternoon stint of fishing. Close proximity to downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill (12-15 minutes), 15 minutes to downtown Hillsborough, and 25 minutes to Durham.Pitch a tent or bring your camper to our private but centrally located forestry acreage in Chapel Hill, NC. Drive into town for dinner or drinks, then relax in the great outdoors for the evening and your morning coffee. Walk around our 3+ miles of private trails with your canine companion and do a spot of fishing or bird watching while you're at it. Our house is a 3 minute walk away and we're happy to show you around a bit or leave you to complete privacy.

Perfect for a trip with a pup!

Nice and quiet space with plenty of walking trails. A nice secluded pond for fishing and the host even said I could bring my kayak! Almost took them up on it but it’s still a little chilly for me on the water but next time! Also not so far out there so you still have good cell service on the whole property.

The site is very peaceful and private despite being just a short drive away from any amenities you could need in Chapel Hill or Hillsborough. I stayed at the open fields site but would also recommend the wooded site. The 2 sites are about 400' feet apart, separated by a wooded area and would feel private even with a camper at the other site. The site is just a few minutes away from the Union Grove Farm, Blue Heeler Coffee, and Maple View Ice Cream. Union Grove Farm is on the Scots-Welsh NC Scenic Byway, a beautiful 13 mile route that travels through scenic farmland on routes that date back to 18th century Scotch_Welsh settlers.

Stayed in the open fields spot. Trails were great and my dog loved running around. Stars were beautiful. The hosts were excellent. I highly recommend and I’ll be back again.
