The Stone Hedge camping spot is located on a beautiful 112 acre property, a 7 minute drive from Tehkummah town centre, and 15 minutes from the ferry. The ecosystem includes mature sugar maple forest, evergreen forest, Niagara escarpment and the river Manitou running through it. There are also numerous maintained well-marked trails to explore. You can find a map of the property with trails among the photos of this listing.The Stone Hedge camping spot is located in a clearing surrounded by a lush mixed forest. It is a short hike away from the parking spot. The trail is wheelchair accessible and we provide you with a cart to bring your belongings from your car to the camping spot. The camping area is far enough from the house, so you can enjoy your privacy. The amenities include: 16x16ft cedar deck, fire pit, two hammocks, camping kitchen with a propane stove and a propane tank, outhouse. We also provide you with clean drinking water from our well for cleaning, drinking and cooking. There is plenty of wood around left from clearing the spot, so you are welcome to use it to make fires. Pets are welcome but we ask you to keep them on a leash in the parking area and around the house, but you can let them roam free while at the camping spot and on the trails. You are welcome to explore our trails and enjoy the mature maple grove, evergreen forests, Niagara Escarpment, wetland area and Manitou river where you can swim and/or enjoy a ride if you happen to bring a kayak with you.

Great place to connect to the nature, where you can have your own space with a great set up , I will just ad showers and provide more water and another small car to move the staff form the parking to to camping spot.

Superb camping spot!

Incredible quiet and secluded campsite with many great features (propane bbq, raised tent spots, hammocks, firepit and a lot of firewood). Hosts were extremely accommodating. Great untouched trails and forest leading to a peaceful river. A perfect spot to set up camp to explore manitoulin island. Highly recommend! Only one campsite on the property so it had a nice secluded feel 😊
