Come Camp close to the river!
The site includes a campfire pit in a very private area that has river access to the upper dam New Hamburg. Tents, vans, and RVs up to 32 feet are welcome. RVers can expect a back-in site that will require some leveling. A toilet is available. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
The site is a 10-minute walk to downtown and all shopping/restaurants.
Enjoy fishing in the Nith River.
We look forward to hosting you.
This was such a great spot to camp! We did a weekend camping trip for our anniversary and this was the perfect spot. We enjoyed the river being beside us, we went kayaking to the dam and around the area. Heard and saw different animals
Nice fire pit and a picnic table for use which was very handy
It’s nice spot to have near and not have to drive 4 hours north
( you can hear a bit of traffic every now and then but nothing some music can’t tune out!)
We can’t wait to go back!
The camp site is lovely,
Quite ,clean and you can relax,
Trevor is awesome,
His very caring ,he checked on you and ask if you need something and he provided .
Thank you so much.
Wonderfully kept site right along the peaceful river. We had a beautiful 2 nights stay and we left feeling so relaxed & refreshed. Not a far distance from towns but far enough for peace!
I stayed at site 1 for 3 nights and couldn’t have been happier staying on Trevor’s land.
Trevor is an outstanding host! Communication was great and he stopped by a few times to ensure I had everything I needed.
The property itself is beautiful. The site overlooks the river and has easy access to drop a canoe, kayak or SUP. You can paddle into town or explore the area on the perfectly still waters.
There is plenty of room on your site as well which was equipped with a fire pit and picnic table.
There is a porta-potty for use and it was by far the cleanest one I have encountered.
Lots of wildlife to watch from your site. We saw several birds, a beaver, turtles and foxes.
As I stayed during the spring the summer will bring a lot of privacy with the cornfield behind your site and leaves on the trees will provide shade for your stay.
We will definitely be coming back in the summer to experience the beauty of the area and get back on the river. Thank you Trevor for the experience! Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.
