This campsite is located within 15 minutes of hundreds of lakes, rivers and streams. In the heart of crystal collecting country, Rock and crystal collecting opportunities abound. For the fisherman, canoeist or kayaker, there are hundreds of nearby lakes and streams. For hikers and cyclists, there are many trails - including rail trails within a few minutes drive.Set up camp next to the pond and your own private fire pit. This quiet site is away from view of the house. The site itself offers views of wildlife in and around the small pond, A camp fire pit and a small open area to toss a baseball or football. The site is a great home base for fisherpeople, hikers and especially rock hounds. Just a few kms away is world famous appatite and titanite collecting opportunities in Tory Hill. Silver crater mine is also nearby (driving distance) and can be hiked to for a small voluntary fee. Information regaeding other collecting sites can be provided to hip campers upon request. Please note, security cameras are present on the site. They are readily visible to campers. They are not monitored but will trigger if campers get too close to the house or garage area.

We stayed at Dan’s camp because we are rock hounds and that is what he advertised. It was very nice. The lights were a nice touch as were the dueling bullfrogs. Dan also shared some rock sites that were known to the locals.
