Our property used to be part of a farm that is over a hundred years old. At one point there was a roadhouse at the corner by the road. Apparently that is where the name duck inn comes from. We have recently built a new home on one side of the property and are pleased to offer the meadow for your primitive camping enjoyment. We lived in town for many years and are excited to share our country location with guests. Learn more about this land: Only 38 minutes away from downtown Portland. Come take a break and relax for the night in this small getaway spot. Perfect space for van lifers and road trips needing a break from driving.  Our place is only 10 min from shopping including an outlet mall. Historic Silverton is 20 min away. Silver Falls is about 30 min away and has great hiking trails. The Silverton reservoir is a small lake 20 min away and is good for swimming and paddle boats. Small evergreen trees surround the tent sites. For an RV you can just drive in as far as you are comfortable on the grassy field. It is a little difficult to turn a trailer around, but it can be done if you don't mind backing out etc.Only 38 minutes away from downtown Portland. I can’t say with confidence one way or the other whether I’d recommend this site because our group ended up not staying overnight due to concerns with a fellow camper. I will say that Margaret was very understanding and went out of her way to issue a full refund which was much appreciated.

Staying here for a while . Access to water 247 which is awesome . Margaret greeted us upon arrival and helped us get settled in on her land with our big RV. It's a nice piece of land and she responds fairly quickly

An okay spot to spend a night
Tent · Group trip
This site is a fine place to spend a night or two. It is convenient to get to, fairly inexpensive, and the road noise isn’t that bad. There is not much light pollution, so you can see a lot of stars over the meadow on a clear night. It’s best for someone with a van or RV, as most of the flat ground has a lot of thorny blackberry starts that you don’t want under your tent. The site didn’t seem to be well maintained. The trash bin was full, and surrounded by empty bottles that seemed to have been there a while. The latrine (a 10 gallon camp toilet in a small privacy tent) was covered in webs and the toilet paper that was there was soggy from having been stored on the ground.

Convenient location, near shopping, gas, and I-5. We plan to return the next time we’re looking for a place to stop near Portland!

Good Spot

Nice and pretty field. Next to 99 and a train track somewhere nearby. Tiny checkical portable toliet in a tent nearby. However, it was nice to not have to worry too much about making noise. We were able to put our tent trailer up here near the entrance of this property. This isn't destination camping but it was the perfect spot to stay to visit silver falls.
