The pet friendly caravan, RV and tent bush camping sites are a hidden gem, offering a relaxing environment where you can commune with nature, enjoy a campfire (we have firewood for sale), pop into a Mannum pub for a meal and then gaze back billions of years at our brilliant stars.
Whether you looking for a quiet overnight rest stop, a weekend getaway or a base to visit the Barossa, Adelaide Hills, lower Murray with Adelaide only an easy 90 minutes away.
The bird-life is booming, the stars are doing their brilliant best, so now is a great time to stop by.
The camp-ground is 2WD, large vehicle friendly and sites are sheltered and easily accessible, with most sites suitable for larger rigs.
We can cater for larger groups by arrangement, with an affordable option to rent the whole camp.
I wanted another quiet break not too far from home so headed back to Currawong Corner again as it's close and suits having my little dog. I had the place to myself for a week, with Neil occasionally checking whether I needed anything. The stars were magnificent!
The hosts were great, very social on their regular visits. Very quiet and peaceful with a great view of the night sky. Far away from everything and close enough to the Murray River and to Adelaide
An incredibly tranquil campsite where you can easily sit, relax and just take in the views all day and night long. Neil and Margaret are excellent hosts with a wealth of travel experience. It's a very clean, well kept area, with plenty of easy to access sites nestled in amongst native Mallee Gum scrub. A huge bonus is the highly entertaining antics of the Currawongs. The night sky is clear and there's plenty of room to set up a telescope for some decent skywatching.
Very happy to recommend this camp to others.
