Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Almost two years ago we moved onto this rural property from the city of Chattanooga. One of the biggest reasons was to start growing and raising our own food. Since then we have started managing heritage pigs, registered dairy goats, chickens, ducks, a garden, and a food forest. Our hope for campers is to come not only to camp, but to be exposed to food grown healthier and happier than most. The way we rotate animals on pasture is like none other in our area, so we’d love to give a tour and show what it’s all about. Learn more about this land: Enjoy the view from the hill as the sun sets over the neighbors’ horses and pond. Also, we have several farm things going on, our garden is across the driveway, chickens are a stone through away, the goats will be heard for sure, and our heritage breed pigs may be found in the front yard depending on the time of year! The site can fit a truck and camper or large RV with a garden hose and extension cord hookup provided nearby.Welcome to the RV at Chestuee Creek! Our modern and well-appointed camper offers a unique getaway experience, surrounded by the beauty of a lush pine forest, and close to the Hiwassee and Ocoee rivers. We also offer creek access on the property, where you can try your luck at catching some local fish or simply relax in the creek-side hammock under a canopy of trees. Our 18-acre property also features a small homestead, where as our guest you can meet our friendly chickens, pigs, cows, and goats!

Sunsets, Waterfalls, Farms
Group trip
Spencer’s place is beautiful. The sunset is spectacular and the surrounding area is pastoral and soothing. Spencer is welcoming and responsive and even lent us camping chairs as we had forgotten ours. Do not pass up the eggs and the greens from Spencer’s farm. They are fresh and could not be more delicious. There is a large area in the side yard designated as the Hipcamp area and it is roomy and flat. There are trees that separate that area from the house so it is like a Hipcamp Enclave. We did several waterfall hike near Spencer’s place, some are as short as two miles and one we did, Snow Falls, was a ten mile hike. The swimming holes and waterfalls near Spencer’s place are not to be missed. I think this area, just north of Chattanooga, is some of the most beautiful country in the US. Go visit Spencer’s Hipcamp, you will be glad you did!!

Friendly homestead / family farm
Group trip
Spencer and his family were very friendly and showed us their farm, animals and homestead. We camped on a grass field next to his house, a little leveling was needed but otherwise a great spot. Lovely views of the neighboring pond, fields and horses. The driveway is a little narrow but we had no trouble getting our 22’ r-pod up and positioned but the particular spot we were in probably wouldn’t be good for much larger rigs.
