We have approximately 20 acres. Rough Glamping / Camping. Pond on property for fishing, we have a really cool outdoor sitting area. Firepits, outdoor cooking, walking trails, and just a great property to enjoy birds, wildlife, and country style getaway. You basically have access to all the property to enjoy if respectful.
Beautiful breezy pond-side spot, very peaceful and perfect for the 2024 eclipse. Chuck is a great host, very laid back and generous. The land is far enough from roads that the loudest noise is frogs, cows, and insects. Was a wonderful retreat for a weekend.
This camp site was just right for us. It included a large grassy area for tents, it was nestled in foliage and trees, and was at the edge of a pond. The area was private. Chuck, our host, was very kind and helped us feel at ease as he led us to the site and showed us around. I would definitely recommend this camping area. This location also ended up being a great spring board to see the 2024 solar Eclipse. Thank you Chuck for making your land available for camping.
Perfect little spot. Mowed with a fire pit on the edge of pond. The boys had a blast hunting “Peanut Butter” as Chuck named him. That is a giant bass rumored to lurk the pond. Personally I think the best aspect was the hospitality the owner Chuck showed us. He is relatively new to renting to campers but it was completely obvious he takes pride in the process. Super solid and nice guy. The boys were hoping to get a pic with you Chuck but when we pulled in to say goodbye, Chuck had company.
Thanks again man, we went to Texas 100% to fish Lake Fork (it was on the boys bucket list) and accommodations were irrelevant. Happening across Chuck and The Pond relieved a lot of stress.
We came from Northern Minnesota and normally camp far from civilization. You don’t want to go in expecting isolation in the wilderness, it is on Chuck’s residential land, but it is secluded enough to enjoy your stay all you would like.
