Mountain View RV Campground is a Great, Quiet campground, in the middle of nowhere, but conveniently located along the road to Dell City. For us, it was our base camp for visits to Carlsbad Caverns (1 hour drive) and Guadalupe Mountains (30 min drive). We stayed three nights. Jay and his wife were very friendly hosts. We recommend the campground. The sites are full hook up, but do fill up on gas en bring your own food.

Very easy in and out. Hosts were right there too help you get settled. Convenience spot if visiting Carlsbad caverns. Wi-Fi was great and it was about as easy of a camping experience as it gets. Highly recommend.

Camping in a Sprinter Van
25 ft campervan
A great little spot! We camped in our sprinter and it was very easy and convenient to get to Guadalupe Mountains NP, especially the Salt Basin Dunes. The park has a dozen spots, each with a picnic table, and it was very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again. A few things future campers should know: there are no toilets or showers. The nearest gas station is Dell City, which only has two stations. Only one of those stations have diesel, and they only take Mastercard (no Visa or Amex). The next closest gas we could find was 70 miles away in White’s City, NM. Same goes for groceries and food/restaurants… this spot is in the middle of nowhere and there really isn’t anything close. So plan accordingly!

Great place to spend the night!
26 ft Class C
Jay was delightful and met us as soon as we pulled in. He was very helpful and got us all settled in. Our spot was level and the place was very neat and tidy. There were even cute little street lamps peppered throughout. It was a great respite from a long day of driving in the wind!

A wonderful stop & host!
26 ft Class C
I so enjoyed my stay at Jay’s RV park and wouldn’t hesitate to book again! Jay is a great, welcoming, responsive host and even went above and beyond to help me with some truck issues I had! I am beyond thankful! Jay is a gem to the HipCamp community!
