We are a 501c3 Farm Sanctuary! We care for 70+ farm animals. You can follow us @onalaskafarmsanctuary on Facebook or Instagram. The camping area is nowhere near the rescue and it does not give you access to the animals. If you would like a tour, please contact us prior to arrival and we will try to accommodate.
Our 45 acre parcel is "no frills camping"
15 minutes from Interstate 5. We are one hour from Mt Rainer and one hour and fifteen minutes from Mt Saint Helens. The camping area is an old christmas tree farm. We maintain several spots for camping. We have one porta-potty shared between campsites. Each campsite has one picnic table, fire-ring and access to a porta-potty. The area is quiet and secluded. Black-tailed Columbian deer are regular visitors, while the barn owls will serenade you in the evening. You will be able to see ALL the stars!
The road is suitable for small RVs, campervans, truck camping, small school buses, and even cars (as long as the cars have some ground clearance). Not suitable for Class A RVs. It is an old logging road made of compacted rock. Cell service is OK. Upload/download speeds might be slow.
The campsite offers a serene and private experience, making it an ideal spot for those seeking peace and quiet. Many campers appreciated the easy access and clear communication with the host, Jessica, who was noted for her responsiveness. The natural setting is enhanced by the presence of farm animals and walking trails, though the porta-potty has received some negative remarks about cleanliness. Overall, it seems to be a well-loved spot for nature lovers and those looking for a convenient base to explore the surrounding areas.
Very quiet, possibly because we were the only campers on the site. Easy to find, with clear site markers. Porta potty available but it was super full, there was no TP and lots of spiders and webs in the unit. Nice shade from the trees, saw a few baby bunnies!
Tent camped for 2 nights. Was very quiet and the camp spot was close to the toilet! Did not see the host, but didnt need her for anything and we had a great time!
Great little spot. It was private and serene. Everything we needed for a stop off on our way to a kayak camping trip. Will definitely recommend!
