The serene interior of our yurt offers an open floor plan, inviting a seamless flow of energy, providing a spacious and calming ambiance. Natural light pours through the skylight, illuminating the thoughtful touches and decor gathered from all corners of the globe to create a harmonious atmosphere. Inside, you'll find a comfortable sleeping area with a cozy queen bed adorned with soft organic linens, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The living space is designed for connection, where you can gather with loved ones or fellow adventurers to share meals and create lasting memories. Relax in the seating area, curled up with a good book or musical instrument or engaging in heartfelt conversations by the gentle glow of candlelight. While the yurt's interior offers a sanctuary of comfort, it's important to note that the composting toilet and shower are located outside. These facilities are designed with eco-consciousness in mind and use limited water resources. Embrace the opportunity to connect with nature even more deeply as you venture outdoors to utilize these facilities. The limited water encourages mindfulness and conservation, reminding us of the importance of sustainability and our connection to the Earth. The yurt is completely off-grid and draws power directly from the sun. Lights are battery and solar powered, there are no outlets available, however, solar USB ports are available for phone charging. Verizon and T-Mobile have a few bars, and we intentionally do not have WiFi available at the yurt. Our hosts, just down the hill from the yurt, can offer healthy, customized meal options, yoga, breathwork, reiki, and sound healings for an additional cost.

Mystic Arizona Ranch

2 sites · Lodging40 acres · Ash Fork, AZ
We welcome you to our rustically cozy off-grid retreat center sitting on 40 acres in the high desert mountains with self-sustainable accommodation in our Skylit Yurt Shala. (This is a proper yurt, not a bell tent. Check our other listings for bell tent options coming soon - as of now, this is the only space for rent on our property so you can ensure privacy). Enjoy magical nights under the Northern Arizona stars, the sound of silence and all the city comforts such as warm showers (5 minutes), flushing toilets and a simple solar-powered indoor kitchen (shared if any other guests are on-site, though that is rare). Think of the ranch as your home away from home either with complete privacy or curated with various add-on experiences such as private yoga and meditation classes with our trauma-informed teacher. We invite you to step away from the noises and distractions of city life and step into the stillness the mystical Northern Arizona mountains have to offer either. The yurt is surrounded by dense juniper trees with a gorgeous canyon view to top it off. There is a compost toilet within a 30 second walk and a flushing toilet within a minute or two walk. No neighbors in site out on our 40 mystical acres. In order to provide this remote and private nature immersion, we are located 6 miles down an unmaintained dirt road. We drive in & out in a Toyota Camry other than during storms. We are about 25 minutes outside of Ash Fork, Arizona off of the Crookton exit. We will provide detailed directions and instructions prior to your arrival. We offer free shuttle services when roads are wet or you can choose to pass with 4WD. We will keep an eye on the forecast. Check us out on Instagram at @mystic.arizona.escapes The yurt has an air cooler to stay cool in the summer and a wood burning stove to stay warm in the winter. Wood for the fire is included. We are located 25 minutes from the nearest gas station and about 45 minutes to the nearest grocery store so please come prepared. We are sometimes on the property with our little baby but keep to ourselves and are often away for the weekend :).

Yurts in Arizona guide

Overview

Tucked away in mountain forests and sprinkled like stars across desert expanses, Arizona yurt camping options allow you to experience grand landscapes. While some luxury yurts come loaded with glamping amenities (like kitchens, air conditioning, wood-burning stoves, high-end bedding, and private bathrooms), others offer off-grid adventures in remote regions. Yurt campsites can give you easy access to popular sites like Grand Canyon National Park, Antelope Canyon, and Arizona's state parks and national parks. Experience a romantic getaway amid Flagstaff's ponderosa pines or Sedona's Red Rocks. Or, find an urban yurt camping site near one of the larger cities, like Tucson or Phoenix. Yurts may or may not have electricity, water, and wifi; however, most offer a unique connection to the surrounding landscapes. Admire cacti from a large deck, hang a hammock under a ponderosa Pine, or gather around a fire on a cool desert night.
