*EASY ACCESS WITH LARGE TRAILERS* *INQUIRE FOR SUMMERTIME DISCOUNTS (stays from June 1 through August 31st)* We invite you to come enjoy our sliver of the Sonoran Desert here in New River! We are situated adjacent to state land that displays a majestic Saguaro forest in the mountains. Enjoy easy access (via a short walk or off-road drive) out the front door to endless mountain trails, glittered with spectacular views. We love nature and invite you to enjoy the presence of wildlife. Our watering holes attract a variety of beautiful creatures, including mule deer. Enjoy the abundance of quail and rabbit throughout! All three Saguaro sites provide full RV services (water, electrical, and 30/50 amp hookups) with plenty of space between for enjoyment of the views. Boondocker sites are great for easy in-out dry camping, making for an early start for your trip out of town or into Phoenix. Loose gravel throughout all sites (except for Boondocker 2, which is easy in/out from the residential street). We are just 10 minutes from the I-17, nestled at the base of Mingus Mountain. Once you have made it back to the I-17, Lake Pleasant is a direct 30-minute drive west. Head south on the I-17 from there and it only takes 5-15 minutes to reach many more amenities including groceries, Anthem Outlet Mall, Shops at Norterra, and restaurants. Rent an off-road vehicle, boat for the lake (or bring yours!), or plan a tour and ENJOY YOUR STAY! We are more than happy to help facilitate an exquisite time here so do let us know how we can best meet both your needs and expectations. Feel free to reach out with any questions and a HUGE thank you to Dave and Loretta for the amazing work they did to create this space for everyone to enjoy. As we transition to new ownership, we are grateful to have the honor to step into this role. More to come...! Thank you for considering us for your stay! Shawn & Roxy

Stanton Camp -Camping & Gold Mining

51 sites · RVs14 acres · Congress, AZ
Nestled in a breezy valley below Rich Hill in Yavapai County, AZ, Stanton Camp sits just six miles below Yarnell and 10 miles northwest of Congress. Once a booming gold mining town known as Antelope Station, Stanton rose to prominence in 1863 with the discovery of gold. Today, the area remains a haven for gold prospectors, hikers, and ATV enthusiasts, all drawn to the beauty of the Sonoran Desert. Stanton Camp is rich with history and charm. The camp’s buildings, once part of a bustling gold rush town, now serve as hubs for modern activities. The former stage stop and home of Charlie Stanton; infamously killed in a violent confrontation; now houses the Camp Office. The Stanton Hotel has been repurposed into a Library, a two-room museum, and a camp kitchen, each offering glimpses into the past. Meanwhile, the Opera House, rebuilt after a fire in 1910, serves as a gathering place for camp activities. From October through May, Stanton Camp comes alive with events, combining gold prospecting, mining activities, and opportunities to explore the surrounding desert. Whether you’re searching for gold or simply enjoying the trails, wildlife, and history, Stanton Camp offers an unforgettable experience. Camping near Cave Creek guide

Overview

In the foothills of Arizona’s most scenic national parks, Cave Creek puts campers near the best of the Sonoran Desert. Ride horses on equestrian trails in Cave Creek Regional Park during a stay at in-town campgrounds with cabin rentals and RV sites with electrical hookups. Cool down on a day trip to Lake Pleasant Regional Park for boating and bass fishing. There are also lakeside campgrounds in the park that have group picnic areas, barbecue grills, and flush toilets. Tent campers may enjoy the more primitive campsites by the water near hot showers and picnic tables. Miles of hiking trails take campers along the Mogollon Rim in nearby Tonto National Forest, Arizona’s largest recreational park. Keep a lookout for wild horses! Stay in pack-in, pack-out sites, or reserve campsites in public campgrounds outside of the forest with firepits and dump stations for RV camping. Choose from modern sites with electric and water hookups or primitive tent camping for self-contained vehicles near boat ramps and biking trails.
