Beautiful, spacious, and private site! We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was easy to get to and the space was prepared for us thoughtfully. A fire pit was setup for us on arrival. Was very happy to have the amenities of a water host, fire ring, trash cans, picnic table, toilet, and plenty of firewood. It was very quiet and peaceful with lots of passing sounds of birds around. Could not have asked for a better weekend getaway. Lots of trees and clear skies for us to gaze at day/night. Host was responsive and very kind. Even offered to mail a dog toy we accidentally left behind.

This facility is more like a campground than an RV Park! Several back-in sites with full hookups on the outer perimeter, like A4, are surrounded by oak and pine trees. The facility is spotless in general. The bathrooms/shower rooms were heated, and the shower stalls were new and in perfect shape. Laundry facility onsite as well. It is a great place to restock and recharge if you are on a long journey or just spending time in the Mt Shasta, Weed, Yreka area. This will be my go-to place in the Nor-Cal I5/97 corridor.

As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe and comfortable at Trailer Lane. The grounds were clean and organized, the bathrooms were spotless. I was not in the least bothered by the freeway sounds. I will definitely reserve a spot again next time I make the trip from California to Oregon. Many thanks for a comfortable, clean, safe place to stay!

We absolutely loved Lisa's little cabin. It is well kept & has all the little amenities you may need including ear plugs for the near by train, toiletries, games, and even a heated mattress pad that my husband and I feel in love with.... so much that we even bought a pad for ours back home! Really nice hardwood floors, electric fireplace and internet made the stay warm & cozy. We loved the weather, local hikes & restaurants too! Pizza Factory & Yaks are must eats. We will definitely be making this our annual anniversary spot. ❤️

Great spot - right off I-5, easy to get to, clean and you get some peek a boo glimpses of Mount Shasta. The layout of the campground is very thoughtful, the host has great communication and there is a little camp store if you forgot something. The animals onsite are a bonus!

Weekend Trip to Hestia Magic

The yurt is beautiful and well equipped with all the necessities including a wood burning stove and plenty of kindling and dry firewood, teas, coffee, clean drinking water, a cook stove, and more. It is a peaceful, quiet setting in the woods. The sounds of the wind in the trees and the water flowing through the stream are restful and calming. The caretakers of this land have created a lovely sanctuary, with numerous points of interest to explore. Highly recommended!

I can not tell you how at peace I was, how wonderful my experience was, and how happy I was at peace I was. 10/10 would recommend, I left anew. Great communicators, and the whole place is beautiful.

Had a great quick stay at Trailer Lane while passing through. Enjoyed the campfire and the animals, including turkeys and a really friendly black and white cat! Excellent views from the tent campsites, though clouds obscured Mount Shasta for much of my stay. Hope to come through again in the future!

We loved camping on Patrice's land overlooking at Mt.Shasta! The property was easy to find, impeccably clean and the landscape unbelievable! It was also beautiful watching the horses in the morning!

This is a small RV campground in a beautiful region. We came in after the store/reception was closed, but found someone to sort us out. We slept in a rooftop tent, but most campers had RV’s. It was quiet and enjoyable.

This place was great. It's a great location with all of the amenities you need. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. The weather took a turn while I was there so the spots up top weren't a good option, so Karen set me up at a spot that was better for the time of year. I hiked up the hill though and the view is breathtaking. Would definitely come here again!!

The property was beautiful! Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. Arrive before dark if possible! We stayed in T1 and had a hard time locating the campsite in the dark. It is very obvious during the day, but in the dark the road over the bridge is not visible. (A left turn where the signage says right only.) The host answered right away and helped us out :) There are chickens and turkeys and other animals on the premises. Very cute setup! Would recommend for a peaceful rest stop.

1 night at Cave Springs Resort

What an ideal tiny house! Cedar was equipped with all the basics, plus great furnishings. The bed was cozy and the cabin was *spotlessly* clean. If you need a spot to stay while traveling on I-5 (and do not want you and all your stuff to smell like Febreeze), skip the hotel and stay here. Loved it.

There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road. Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a green pipe rail gate at the end. We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message. There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses or for a quick outdoor shower with a handheld spritzer. It is not enclosed so you will need to be discreet. Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times. Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer. Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake. Bring your horses too. I have a couple of electric-fenced paddocks for visitors.

Big Bend's annual Trout Derby is back!! Starting April 26, so get here early so you'll be ready for the big events! Our 120 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Firebird Ridge presents a fantastic secluded yet convenient camp station in a beautiful semi-wild setting with huge open sky views over 50 miles of the Klamath River canyon and Siskiyou Crest. Just 10 minutes off the freeway, a variety of simple yet thoughtfully laid out low impact sites afford comfy car and tent camping or smaller RVs and vans, with ample privacy. Small to medium size (5-15p) groups may combine sites and enjoy some shared space and amenities, please inquire. At an elevation just under 3000 feet, the Ridge enjoys sunny skies and comfy temps, with cold nights and hot days in winter and summer respectively. This is a drier climate between May and October, meaning some fire risk and potential smoke impacts for area forests, although the mountainside location generally offers clean fresh air with stunning sunsets and excellent stargazing! The land contains over a mile of scenic trails with rock features, old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers in a landscape undergoing restoration to healthy fire resistant condition. Wildlife abounds, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns. Count on fair to good cell service, wifi and power are centrally accessible too. Activity and development on site are minimized to enhance the natural habitat and ambience. Guests are advised to minimize disturbance of other occupants and lifeforms. It's fine to have fun and make some intermittent noise but disruptive or damaging behavior will be curtailed. This extends to the neighborhood as well, especially on the road in/out where it's important to keep your speed (dust, noise etc) DOWN in the vicinity of houses. The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! A good mix of curiosity, care, humility and attentiveness will go a long ways toward making your initial stay here satisfying and smooth. Come as a guest, not a customer - and find yourself at home in the wild! Youth visitors are welcome but must be supervised and receptive to guidelines. This location is not set up (yet) for people with mobility challenges, or people with no prior wilderness experience.

We are constantly working to upgrade this system but there is no guarantee of its operating status or available bandwidth. It has been pretty reliable after our last upgrade. Each FHU RV Site has a TV connected to our new 48 Channel, Digital, DirecTV system. Some TV’s are not compatible with our MP4 Digital System and some guests have difficulty configuring their RV/TV system. We have some troubleshooting tips that give 95% of our RV guests access to our TV System but there are no guarantees. DINE IN A RAILROAD CAR The Dining Car Restaurant is one of the most interesting restaurants in Dunsmuir, CA. Built inside authentic, vintage railroad cars, the restaurant is a museum itself. Inside its antique cars is an atmosphere steeped in nostalgia. Antique hand tools, gauges, pictures, signals and other artifacts recall the glory days of railroading in the west and specifically the Dunsmuir and McCloud area. Above the bar is a hand built scale replica of the Southern Pacific Cascade, which once plied the rails between San Francisco and Portland. Enjoy your favorite cocktail or a specialty drink.
