Weekend Trip to Brooks Lake, a piece of Heaven

We had a fantastic time at this campsite this past weekend! The location was absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful water that was perfect for fishing. There were plenty of fish to catch, which made for an enjoyable experience on the lake. Bill, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He made it so easy for us to find our site and settle in, which really helped us start our stay on a high note. The only thing to note is that this place can get quite crowded on the weekends. There were a lot of people around playing music, so if you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway, this might not be the best spot during peak times. We also had a run-in with some fire ants, which is to be expected when you’re in nature, but just a heads-up in case you’re allergic or sensitive to bites. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and despite the minor setbacks, we would absolutely recommend this campsite to others. It’s a great spot for fishing, and the hospitality from Bill really made it memorable!

Weekend Trip to Stone Mountain Glamping Site

The glampsite at Kim and Trina’s farm is truly a sanctuary in the middle of Atlanta. Not only is the set up a scenic getaway, but the hospitality that Kim and Trina create is truly unmatched. I will be coming back in the future when I visit Atlanta again. Lois

1 night at NW GA Farm Stay

Terrific site - very friendly host. Tidy, quiet, and inviting. We stayed at the water/electric site with a 35’ class A RV. Easy enough to get into, didn’t need to level out. Clean water, 50amp hookup (no 30 amp, so bring an adapter if needed). Grounds were impeccably clean and tidy. Lots of animals, each in their own penned in area. The hosts invited us to go see them, which was fun for us and our child. Very family friendly spot. 10/10, would stay again.

This is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking to glamp right outside of atlanta. It was only a 15 min drive to decatur and 25 to atlanta. The host was very nice and communicative. We had everything we needed and I would recommend!

Loved camping at this beautiful farm. Hosts were so welcoming. Campsite, Adirondack chairs, and fire pit were great. We purchased meat and 2 types of cheeses to enjoy. Were able to pet some of the sheep and goats. Would definitely stay here again.

The owners were absolutely on point and accurate with all of their directions that they gave to us. Laura met us at the gate and directed us into where we needed to be and answered all of our questions without any issues. Shortly there after we met Bill who assured us That if we needed anything, he would have it taken care of. After driving nearly 9 hours from Southwest Florida pulling into our campsite and getting some good direction and solid advice was exactly what we needed. Would highly recommend Brooks Lake and I know that I will definitely be back!

My stay coincided with some crazy high winds and large storms. The campsite was pretty awesome. All the animals welcomed us and it was a very pleasant stay bathrooms were clean very peaceful. My teardrop camper has a regular plug not an RV plug and I forgot my adapter, so that’s probably the only thing I would recommend is they have an adapter for those that don’t have RV plugs but otherwise it was pretty amazing. love the doggies, the horses, and all the other animals on the ranch

From the moment I booked, I knew I was in for a treat with Kathleen as our host. She’s got communication skills that would make your grandma jealous—responsive, friendly, and just all-around awesome before, during, and after our stay. Now, let’s talk about the welcoming committee: Wade and Willow. These two are the real stars. They’re a whirlwind of laughs, and I had the pleasure of staying in rv site #1 during one of those massive storms that seemed to have no end. But did Wade and Willow flinch? Nope. They took their job very seriously, spending the entire storm under my camper, only leaving to do their "patrols" (read: checking for snacks and chase the lightning away). These two are basically giant, well-behaved snuggle machines that can never get enough scratches—seriously, it's like an endless buffet of love. The farm animals? Don’t even get me started. They were straight-up fabulous. And The sunset before the storms rolled in? Breathtaking. If you’re looking for a place to recharge, I can’t recommend this spot enough. I’d go back in a heartbeat—just make sure to bring some extra treats for the real MVPs (Wade and Willow, obviously)

Beautiful site overlooking a large meadow with nearby stocked fishing pond and lovely views. It's a few minutes drive up a dirt/gravel road so be aware of that but I made it fine in my minivan. Nice, welcoming hosts too!

We got in a little late, but had time to enjoy our spot in the pines on Tom’s beautiful land before we packed up. Tom drove out to help us with an extension cord and was very friendly. It was a great stop on our journey back home. Thanks, Tom!

We had a great time a Twin Oaks Boondocking site - Farm the host was great and had great communication and the site was amazing and farm so beautiful and fun to see the Goats, Sheep, Ducks, Rabbits, Cats, Dogs etc. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend staying here if you have the chance.

We had a good time but our dogs had a GREAT TIME checking out the goats and ponies and playing with the Liberty fluffs, Wade and Willow. They had a little too much fun trying to dig up the goat fence.. 😖 Kathleen was so gracious and kind about it. We were so embarrassed. We've done a lot of camping and they've never done anything like that. Pro tip: keep your dogs away from the fence. Outside of us being the problem, everything was great. It was actually really sweet that every morning the dogs were super excited to see each other. Like it was the highlight of their day. We did some riding and got some incredible sunset photos. Highly recommend for an overnight stay. This place has way more than five stars.

Sowing Seeds of Peace

It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. I am a teacher, guide, artist, and healer. This land is sacred and magical. It is used to heal, restore, inspire and rejuvenate many locally and internationally.

Camp with rescue cats

Located about 15 minutes from Senoia GA (for those walking dead fans), we have forest and field spots ideal for pitching a tent and enjoying our picturesque and unique property. Our hand raised resident turkeys and geese wander the property. so please keep dogs leashed during the day or until we lock up the birds for the evening.. Our famous rescue house cats “The Acro Cats” are frequently in their outdoor Catio and we can arrange a purrsonal visitation for a donation to our rescue. They love attention and may even perform a trick or two. Our “haunted theme” tour bus serves as a common area and has a kitchen, with a sink, microwave, toaster and refrigerator. There is also a large screen TV with a DVD player. WiFi is iffy and depends on the weather. There is also a bathroom with a toilet, sink and semi working shower. (Hoping to get it fully working). Soap and Hand sanitizer is also provided. The back of the bus is available for sleeping for an extra fee. It has 4 built in bunks and we can even provide overnight feline companionship with some of our foster kittens. We have one large fire pit area and a smaller portable one, depending on the site. Firewood can be scavenged in the forest or we can provide a bundle for a small fee. We have some lighting, but flashlights and headlamps are recommended since the terrain is uneven in some spaces. We have one spot that an RV or trailer can pull into as well. It is fairly level, but you may need to make adjustments. For tent sites we can run a standard electric cord out to you, depending on how close you are to the main house. Or you can use the common area for electrical needs.

Overlook at Seven Islands

We live on site on 17 acres that is surrounded by large tracts of undeveloped land with the Oconee National Forest within 1/4 mile and the Ocmulgee river within 1 mile. The name Seven Islands comes from the rich history of this area and the nearby trading site between Native Americans and settlers in the 1800s on the seven islands of the Ocmulgee River. For Equestrian campers, we have an electric hook-up near the house and a round-pen size paddock for horses (or can make panels into stalls) +$7/horse/night. (Note: We reserve the right to refuse lodging to horses with runny noses/runny eyes or otherwise sick). *Cabin being remodeled. To be open some time in 2025* We are happy to ride with you when available if desired - or we recommend using the Outdoor Active or Gaia app. Our tent camping area is a peaceful, shady area overlooking meandering Kinnard Creek. The dirt road is within view, but it is a country road rarely travelled by anyone other than kayakers and other recreationists. The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.
