If you don’t have a whole week to canoe down the length of the Edisto, one of the longest free-flowing blackwater rivers on the continent, the narrow channel that winds through Aiken State Park provides the perfect opportunity for a day trip down the scenic 1.7 mile river trail. Don’t forget a fishing license, or you’ll be missing out on fresh caught bass and catfish for dinner. What’s that? You forgot your bait and tackle? Fear not!
