4 nights at Peace Apalachee

The time we spent in the Airstream was truly magical. We loved the vintage look of the interior and enjoyed all of the appliances and devices to make our stay comfortable. The outside shower was one of my favorite. Hosts were great! They were helpful in being flexible as our schedule has changed a few times, we really appreciate it.

Weekend Trip to West Preserve

Awesome property and spot. Friendly and responsive host. Site was flat and easy to get to thanks to her written instructions. Also had restroom access and a power plug for charging phones etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a spot in the area.

We had a nice time camping on Gary's beautiful land! The sound of the stream was relaxing! It was perfect not having to set up a tent, especially when traveling with baby. And the breakfast is a must!

Very nice layout! The shelter was awesome and it definitely helped cut down on the cold wind that blew through our first night. My son and I loved the area and chopping up some wood. Very close to some nice fishing spots. Host was very responsive! Will definitely be coming back.

Weekend Trip to Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages

The cabins are cozy and well appointed. We fell in love with Dragonfly cabin and it's spot amongst the other cabins. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The chickens come out about the same time each morning and it was fun to watch them have breakfast and roam around. We took the opportunity to purchase some of their eggs and were not disappointed. Take the time to walk up the hill to see the horses! The cabins are centrally located to Blairsville, Blue Ridge and Helen with great restaurants and sightseeing in all directions. We wish our stay could have been longer! Thank you to the nicest hosts and we will be back!

Weekend Trip to Tiny House Urban Farm Stay

Jaya's tiny home was a balm for my soul. We loved feeding the chickens and enjoyed the beauty of the gardens. Providing toiletries and coffee was a life saver. Overall, it was a delightful respite minutes from downtown.

2 nights at Lula Disc House

We had a blast here! I have already raved about this campsite to multiple friends. The pictures don’t actually do the grounds justice. It is better than pictures. Our friend rented a deluxe Safari Tent and it was lovely and just as nice as pictured. The bathhouse was very clean and well lit at night. If you love disc golf, or even you don’t, this camping spot is for you!

3 nights at Lula Disc House

The tent was private, but near every thing. The Bath house was very clean and well maintained. While we are not Disc Golfers, it was very peaceful. We went for a few walks, but we really were just trying to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air, which we did. Definitely would go back or refer a friend.

2 nights at Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages

My Wife and I (dogs as well) were exceptionally pleased with our stay for the weekend. We felt that the overall location is very conveniently placed, however, perfectly hidden. Their property is beautifully maintained. It is very apparent the amount of foresight and hard work that went into developing their land for travelers to visit. From an outside perspective, you feel a sense of humility and nostalgia influenced by the landscape. Our cabin was pleasantly clean and was well prepared for us. Everything inside the cabin functions, as it should. From the individualism in the decorations of each cabin to the craftsmanship of the stairs and landings, it all displayed significant attention to detail. Our dogs had a blast exploring around our cabin. The free ranging chickens made us feel at home. The owners were helpful and accessible to answer questions we had. Our cabin was cozy and was a nice place to lay our heads at night. We were sad to get up this morning and leave. Bill and Sarah have done a great job and should be proud!

I've booked a few sites off Hipcamp and this one was by far my favorite! The land was peaceful and quiet, good location to town about 10 minutes, the bathroom on site exceed my expectations! I will be back hands down!

It was a wonderful experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, inside of the tents were really spacious, clean and temperature was regulated using a fan and AC. Outside was a covered bench for eating and a nice place for grilling and campfire place , ample lighting outside. I m gonna be back soon :).

Genenally, we loved the glamping site in Lula Disc House. We stayed one night for my daughter’s spring break trip. The owner, Corbin, was very kind to answer my questions, when I called one day before the stay. The atmosphere was quiet and the glamping tent and site was clean and well-maintained. The tent has a heater and AC control, a coffee maker, and a refrigerator in the room. The hammock was fun to ride!! The site BBQ grill was clean and Corbin was very helpful to show how to set up camp fire because it was the first time for us. Our dog enjoyed the trip, too. We all had a good time!! We stayed one night, it would be better to stay longer. We would come back and recommend this site to friends!!

This is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking to glamp right outside of atlanta. It was only a 15 min drive to decatur and 25 to atlanta. The host was very nice and communicative. We had everything we needed and I would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Hemlock Cottage

Loved this spot in Suches! It is really out there but close to the Appalachian trial and tons of other hiking and close enough to the cute town of Dahlonega if you want good food or need a Walmart. The treehouse was even more amazing than I imagined! The hot tub was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and all the necessities were provided for. We stayed in March with highs of 70 and lows of 40 but we stayed super cozy inside. Didn’t even use the heated blanket, but did turn on the space heater. We cooked over the fire with pots, pans, and firewood provided. We only really saw one cat the whole time and she was super sweet. The dogs bark when you pull up or go into the main house - where you can get a shower and use a flush toilet - but they did not bother us otherwise. Highly recommend this spot for off grid time listening to the babbling brook, sleeping under the stars, and relaxing.

Hello Campers, We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

Your Toccoa River Cove!

The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River. Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time. Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at the website TVA.gov. The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily. This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River. The campsites are equally close to downtown McCaysville, Ga. /Copper Hill, TN. Miners Cabin: The miners cabin is located in between Dawsonville and Dahlonega Georgia in the heart of gold country. This unexpected gem has been our family’s oasis for the past 7 years and now, we are opening it up to share with others. Access to the cabin will be via our driveway and guests will not be allowed to drive directly to the cabin. There is a short 3 minute walk from parking access to the cabin. This walk is on an incline and those who may have difficulties walking up or down an incline or on uneven surfaces should consider this walk when planning your trip. Due to access limitations, we ask that you not bring more than two vehicles, We have additional parking at another property if needed but please let us know in advance. The Cabin sits on a grassy meadow a stones throw from cane branch stream. In the morning and afternoon you should expect to see or hear all types of wildlife. We have a family of raccoons that come around in the summer months and will eat just 5 foot from the porch. In the winter we have several deer that access the creekbed. The wildlife is fed often by our family and has been for the past seven years. Hummingbirds, woodpeckers, whippoorwills, crows, and even goldfish call this oasis home. At night our kids love to hunt for small crawfish in the creek with a flashlight. While bears are always something to watch for, we don’t typically see them on the property. A few miles of walking paths have been meticulously cared for and created by my father Mike. The mossy stone paths look like something out of a story book in the spring. Along the trails you will find benches and hammocks to lounge on and if you look close enough you may find some crystals that were placed for others to find from some of our many mineral digs over the years. There are two bridges that cross the stream along the paths and an old water wheel from way back that was used in the gold mining process in the creek. Vegetation on the property includes a variety of chantrell and coral mushrooms. If Mushrooming is your thing we have a good stash of chicken of the woods and if it’s fruiting you are welcome to pick it. Mountain laurels line the creek and bloom beautiful pink blossoms in the spring and summer. Cane creek branch is a quiet and beautiful stream. The water only gets about waist high at the deepest point making it perfect for kids or dogs to splash around in. Inside the cabin you will find a few gold pans if you would like to try your luck. We have found gold in the creek along with garnets and a few flashes of platinum. This property used to be the site for a long abandoned gold mine and an old metal water wheel still sits on the creek bank. The water wheel is locked but will still turn and at over 8 ft high it is a sight to see in itself. You will find a few small fish but nothing to shake a pole at. The cabin itself is nothing fancy and we like to keep it that way. It is as primitive as you would expect from the title. Only one electrical outlet is currently in the cabin. There is no running water but there is a water basin for brushing your teeth and washing small items. The bathroom is behind the cabin in a separate facility. This outhouse is unlike anything you have seen and has all of the comforts of home. Sleeping arrangements include a king size bed on a solid frame and a small sofa. You are welcome to pitch a tent or hammock outside as well. In the winter the cabin gets cold, we will provide an electric heater but you should know that it may still get cold inside. The porch looks over the creek and makes a great spot for bird watching. Amenities include a charcoal grill and a fire pit for cooking. The fire pit has several stable adirondack chairs circling it. We have a throwing board on the property however you will need to rent the throwing items from us and sign a waiver. We also have a small swing by our goldfish pond just across the creek. Things to do near us. Kayaking and tubing are just 7 miles down the road. You can rent a kayak from us or from the outfitters. We have 4 sit on top kayaks for adults 2 for children under 100 lbs and several whitewater kayaks are available for rent if you have prior experience. We also will guide you down the river as an additional service. See our price list. Our local outfitter Chestatee River Adventures is typically 30.00 for each kayak and 10.00 for tubing. The trip is 6 miles and can take anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on the water level. Please note that the outfitter is only open during the spring and summer. Our family will take you out no matter the time of year. Fishing on the Chestatee, Etowah, or lake lanier are also great activities and all can be accessed with a short 10 minute drive. Lake Zwerner is a local fishing hot spot great for grabbing a kayak or canoe and spending the day on the water. Gold Mining: Dahlonega is the gold city! Only 15 minutes away you will find Consolidated Gold Mine – Underground Gold Mine Tours. Here you can do some gold and gem mining as part of the tour. The gold museum in scenic dahlonega is close by as well.If you are looking for something more my dad offers trips and will show you the basics or can take you out for an all day dredging experience. You keep whatever you find! Hiking: The area hikes include the start of the great Appalachian (Apple-atch-an) trail. This is amicalola state park a 25 minute drive from the property.

You can enjoy a walk through our labyrinth that has over 80 blueberry bushes surrounding it. As an extra, you can have a tour of our family farm. Stone Mountain Park is also a short drive or bike ride from here, where there is hiking, paddling, golf, and amusement rides available. For a more local experience, the Pine Lake Beach is just a 1.5 miles away. It's a beautiful site for swimming and fishing. New to camping and not sure that you can cook an adequate meal over a fire? No problem. This site provides access to the best of country luxury alongside the city conveniences of DoorDash and UberEats, all in one place. We have a propane heater for the colder months and 2 battery powered fans for hot days.

For boating especially, we recommend the nearest Boat Launch at 499 Choestoea Rd, Westminster, SC, where there are docks, a public launch, and a sandy beach. - The inflatable hot tub can reach temperatures up to 104°F. Due to the nature of inflatable hot tubs, it will lose about 5°F per hour that the lid is off; weather conditions and use of the jets may expedite this cooling. Unlike a traditional hot tub, there are no seats inside. There are flower-shaped sponges in the hot tub, which help keep the water clean. **If you prefer to take these out while in the water, they must be placed back in when you exit. DO NOT throw these over the railing.** After use, please toss 2 sanitizer shock tablets into the water (located above the stove). There will be a video on hot tub operation in your check in directions.

Enjoy a unique stay in the middle of Atlanta. This tiny home is located on an urban farm. The space is simple and comfortable, with a full bathroom, loft, Tempurpedic mattress, dining table, cooktop, TV and internet. There is a full closet for hanging clothes and several shelves. On the farm, you will find rows and rows of beautiful wildflowers. Within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops & zoo. The space We're right in the middle of the city, a short distance from many attractions. But when you set foot on the farm, you'll feel like your miles away. The tiny house sits behind a concrete block facade that remains from an old house. The space in front of the house may look empty, but it has been used by the farmers for seed starts. In the future, we will be converting the space to a patio with seating and ping pong. The water heater is small - pretend you’re glamping! You can get about a 5 minute shower or a good excuse for skipping it altogether. Guest access You may wander the farm, but please stay off the beds and be mindful that these guys work really hard! The farm is pretty quiet January and part of February. Other things to note There is also a vintage Airstream on the property and is also rented out on Airbnb. Overview

Set amid the wooded foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just an hour’s drive from Atlanta, Lake Sidney Lanier—or simply, Lake Lanier—is one of Georgia’s largest and most popular lakes. With almost 700 miles of lakeshore, 38,000 acres of glittering blue waters, and dozens of parks, islands, and marinas, this lakeside vacationland affords endless ways to get on the water, from boating and kayaking to water-skiing and some of the state’s best bass fishing. Campers have options, too, with seven state campgrounds, RV parks, and private campgrounds dotted around the lake.

Where to go

North Shore

The wooded north shore of Lake Lanier is dotted with sandy beaches, lakeside parks, and islands. Head to Little Ridge Park to hook a bass in Buford Dam, cruise out to explore Three Sisters Island from Two Mile Creek Park, or cool off with a swim at Mary Alice Beach.

South Shore

The star attraction of Lake Lanier’s south shore is the Lanier Islands resort, home to the Margaritaville aqua park, sandy beaches, and a winter snow activity area. Check into a luxury lodge or villa, stay at the RV resort, or snag a lakeside campsite at Shoal Creek Campground.
