Great little quiet, private spot! All the amenities available plus cute miniature horses to admire. Ron was a welcoming host.

This was a sweet place with a fire pit and lots of cute flowers and garden art. Terri was super nice and it was a peaceful place. Dogs were adorable and friendly. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Cagle Cove

We enjoyed our time at Cagle Cove. Our kids loved running around the pond and exploring. We were early in the season so maybe the pond needs to be cleaned and stocked up but we still had a great time. The hosts were awesome and even brought us a lighter because we forgot one!

We had a great time! It is a great spot that is easily accessible from the freeway. The Tipi was comfortable and the outside area was nicely set up and private. We got the smores package and enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evening.

1 night at Tawa Tipis

Not going to lie, this was the best bed I’ve slept in in months! But also, the property is great and the Hipcamp sites are set up so well and stocked with everything you could need from firewood to bug spray to water. The ambiance is great, the site was super cozy and the tipi was wonderful. Our dogs loved having space to roam off leash and we loved having a comfortable and cozy private place to stay the night and hang out and relax. 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would go back!

4 nights at Sandhill View Ranch Campsites ⛺️

Tyler was a great host! I failed to book properly and got the RV site when I meant to book the Airstream. Lucky for me that no one had booked it for that weekend and we were able to work it out! I loved sitting out at the picnic table in morning to look over the valley while drinking coffee. At night it was a glass of wine under the stars and the twinkling lights of the city off in the distance. It was peaceful there and very restorative. I loved watching the sky with all it's variations of weather off in the distance. The surrounding properties were distant and quiet. One review mentioned the freeway, and you could hear the traffic, but it was far enough away that it was easily tuned out while listening to the birds twitter and call. The place was easy to find with gps.

Weekend Trip to Cagle Cove

We used this as a Basecamp to attend our daughter's lacrosse games. The setting was beautiful and you can tell the owners put lots of effort into maintaining it. We had an equipment issue that was going to be an expensive fix but Beth immediately helped us with a solution! Of course, Mayor Lilly is the highlight of the camp. If my daughter plays on this area again, we will stay here!

Weekend Trip to Micone Ranch

Stopped over in the dark and found easy directions to a private hill. Paid for two vehicles. Nice and quiet, then we left at dawn to continue south. Perfect place to stop. Beautiful sunrise from here. I hope to arrive earlier next time. Would have loved to feed the goats.

Ron was wonderful. We didn’t get to the farm until 10 pm and he waited up to make sure we knew where to park and showed us where everything was in the camping spot. The horses and mini horses were awesome!

Great place to stay for the night. Lot's of chickens with for or so beautiful roosters. Nice gazebo fire pit area. The beef we bought was great. Be sure to eat at the Irish restaurant in Ontario very good homemade food.

Home-based excavation company, so heavy equipment comes and goes, but there is space for a dry-camped RV to park safely and secluded. In summer the irrigation ditch has a splashy little waterfall and occasional wildlife. The town of Middleton is just up the road 3 miles and there is a great one-lane train bridge just a mile away that crosses the Boise river where some seasonal fishing and swimming can be enjoyed in a natural setting. Walk the sidewalks in the neighboring HOA and enjoy the sunrise over the mountain view. Please no pets!

There's an onsite Farm Store stocked with beef, lamb, farm-fresh eggs, and seasonal produce. 🚙We have 3 RV parking sites nestled on an acre of land with an indoor riding arena. Each site has 3 individual 30/50 amp electrical hookups and 3 water hydrants. Parking is on a leveled gravel driveway with fenced-in grass pastured on either side of your site. Micone Ranch

Our place is 28 acres. Do not drive into the upper field, there is a stop sign on that gate. It is irrigated, and you could get stuck and cause property damage. Our niche is that we only host one group of people at a time. Whether you are a solo camper or a group of 50, you will never have to compete for space with another group. This also allows for increased safety for single travelers and elderly. We are open year-round but make sure your tires can handle our terrain. Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. Do not do this as there is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The gate is latched but not locked on the left side. Initial fee covers a spot for one sleeping structure. Add any additional tents/rv/vehicles used for sleeping. You can add extra sleeping structures under the extra tab. Included in options to buy is RV power hook up and EV overnight charging. A small somewhat muddy creek runs through the front of the property year-round. The water is clearer during the winter and spring months. Cleared spots in this area are small so only tent camping in this area is recommended. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field, they are shy. Oregon has an invasive poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant but if you wander along the creek you will encounter it. Areas people have liked are up top by the top field gate, or down in the field that our large chicken coop is in. There are no animals in those areas, but chickens do make noises. Up top we have roosters that make noise about 5 am. The lower field on the right is the quietest. If you have children camping near the house is recommended. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch.

A few years ago, we found this slice of forested paradise—83 acres of raw, unrestricted land tucked away in Garden Valley. The property borders a 500-acre elk preserve and backs up to miles of untouched BLM and Forest Service land. It’s wild, peaceful, and full of life—everything we hoped it would be when we first walked it. While we will only be opening up this spot for a handful of days each year, this particular spot on top of the mountain we wanted to share it with others who value nature, solitude, and a special experience to remember forever. Whether you're hiking, stargazing, exploring, or simply unwinding, we hope this spot offers you the same sense of peace and perspective it gives us. We do not allow motorized vehicles to the campsite, it is a fairly short and easy hike some old logging roads. from where you park your car to the campsite, the hike is only 1.2 miles and 574 vertical feet climb to the site. These roads are well marked and we maintain them well. Campground Rules Absolutely no campfires. No wood fires, no charcoal, no tiki torches—nothing with an open flame. Fire risk here is extremely high, and we take this very seriously. A propane fire pit is provided—this is the only fire source allowed. No fireworks. Period. Not even the little ones. Fire danger is real, and safety comes first. Personal cooking gear is okay—within reason. You’re welcome to bring your own propane stove or fuel-based cooking equipment, but it must be used only in the designated cooking area. No personal firepits or open-flame devices of any kind. Bring your own water. There is no running water on site. Plan ahead and haul in what you need for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. Leave no trace. Pack it in, pack it out.
