A very sweet and rustic Hemlock cabin, along with secluded 17' and 14" bell tents, plus 2 private campsites sit along beautiful Webb Brook. Walk through the large open field, away from everything, to this storybook setting. All you can hear is the waters of the brook rushing and sounds of nature all around. Graham Lake is just a stone's throw away. Great for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. This magical place is just beyond our farm where we you can buy fresh chicken and duck eggs daily at the house. In the cabin, upstairs, a lofted queen bed accessed by a sturdy wooden ladder. Downstairs, a wood stove with dining area, and living space with full sized convertible bed. No electricity, no plumbing, no wifi. Good cell service. Composting toilet and water tank for use inside cabin. Gas grill and firepit with tripod grate outside for cooking options. Two large picnic tables for outdoor dining. Truly a magical place. The campsites and secluded 2 bell tent sites are hidden away along Webb Brook, sitting among the pines and hardwoods. A port-a-potty available for all guests' use. Almost 9 acres of land to explore and discover, as well as Graham Lake just a walk away.

Family owned property obtained through the barter system. You shingle my barn and I'll give you that property. My Pappy's land. 11 acres. Recently cleared for its timber. With some landscaping it became clear that beautiful campsites were forming. My father is 78 years old. The last thing he ever thought he would be doing with his retirement is jumping back on his excavator. Can't keep a good man down. Now here we are. Father and daughter. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a bucket compost toilet. A compost bag and shavings/leaves/moss provided. The tent sites are off grid with a few conveniences. Please view my camper rental if you are seeking another experience. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any.

Great synchronicity led us to the wild 30 acres of marsh and woodland that is Turtle Marsh. In addition to making a home here, we dedicating the area as a sanctuary for the quiet enjoyment of nature, eco-spiritual practices and healing. Guests may elect to experience a daily hour-long "Ecospiritual Immersion" walk as part of their stay. These will be led by Ecospiritual Guide and "Wild Mind, Wild Heart" author, Peter Wohl. He has led ecospiritual workshops and retreats for over 20 years. There is a network of trails on our property for enjoying quiet, contemplative walks. In the evenings, weather permitting, there will also be an opportunity for an informal campfire discussion with Peter. There is an additional fee for the walks and campfires. There are several trailheads for the Hills to Sea Trail within a mile of our property. The quintessential New England waterfront town of Belfast on Penobscot Bay, is less than 30 minutes away. One of our favorite spots for quiet hikes along the shore of the bay, is Sears Island. It is one of the largest undeveloped islands on the east coast, that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is 50 minutes away and even on the busiest summer days, its's usually possible to find a quiet spot on the shore to sit and reflect. As we continue to deepen our relationship with this land, we are trying to follow the principles of Deep Ecology in all of our interactions. Our tentsite, while only a 5 minute walk from the road, has been sited to offer as much solitude as possible, with minimal disruption to the surroundings. In spite of being nestled in the woods, no trees were cut to prepare this relatively accessible site. We believe that it still offers a very tangible sense of wildness and solitude. Turn your time away into a transformative and healing experience, as you connect more deeply to the natural world. We hope that you will enjoy the experience of Turtle Marsh as much as we do.

All are nestled in the woods on the Dutch Neck Peninsula in midcoast Waldoboro, Maine An outside hot water shower and a commercial porta potty are provided. Each unit has its own private fire pit, an outside sheltered sitting area, unlimited free firewood, picnic table, gas grill, real beds, linens provided, indoor dining and sitting area and private parking space. Guests have access to our private preserve, two public preserves, a fantastic fresh water swimming hole, free use of our kayaks, a salt water boat launch, and an expansive lawn with games for the whole family. Pets are welcome and have their own swimming pond. Midcoast Maine has more to see and do than one can ever accomplish in a short visit. A detailed guide is provided on site.

Boomtown Rustic Camps is Nestled in the Foothills of Western Maine. This gem is located in the quiet woodlands on a dirt road where you can reconnect and rejuvenate. Your Stargazer Tent will have cozy furnishings, a comfy bed complete with bedding. Each Glamp Site has an outdoor kitchen fully stocked to make your meals and your morning coffee. Cook with the two-burner camp stove and a Hibachi, please bring along charcoal if you wish use the Hibachi. Enjoy your meal at the Picnic Table then retire to the hammock for a nap after dinner. Campfires should be well tended for safety following the State Fire Marshall recommendations. Also, offered are two campsites located on the edge of the field where you can bring your own tent and camping gear. These two sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Shared Portable Toilet on sight. A Shower stall is currently under construction. It will be available shortly, until then Sun showers are provided. Water available, although non potable. There is no electricity on site. Feel free to explore the hiking trails on the 100 Acre property. This area is known for its wildlife. As you will see many different tracks, should you encounter our wildlife friends please allow them the space they deserve. Located approximately 40 minutes from Sugarloaf and Saddleback Mountains, these mountains offer magnificent views. Quill Hill has a spectacular 360 degree view where you can see for miles. Close to Quill Hill, visit the Bigelow Fields Buffalo Farm. Stop at their stand for Homemade Breads and Buffalo Meat. Visit Rangeley Lake to grab lunch or dinner at their fine eateries. Browse the shops in town. Smalls Falls is a must see. The falls are breath taking and another great spot for a picnic. Closer to home Porter Lake is a beautiful lake to Swim, Kayak, Canoe or Fish. This lake has an island which is home to Bald Eagles raising their young there. Eustis offers Flagstaff Lake, a popular spot for Kayakers. The lucky ones get a glimpse of a Moose. Maybe you prefer Biking or golfing in Carrabassett at Sugarloaf, hiking in Coos Canyon in Weld or just simply sitting on the banks of the Sandy River in Strong. Certain times of the year folks take tubes floating down the Sandy River. Our ATV trail is right out of the driveway heading up the dirt road. Get a trail map and explore miles of trails. There is a lot to see and do in the area. Boomtown Rustic Camps welcomes you to relax, reconnect and renew. Enjoy the sounds of birds, frogs and babbling water. As you explore our property you undoubted will stumble across our sweet spot that we are happy to share. You will know the spot when you find it. Adventure awaits you in our rustic getaway named "The View," a rare perspective on the Presidential Range & White Mountains of New Hampshire in the heart of Maine's Lakes Region. This campsite has a Bell Tent AND an outdoor gathering Safari pavilion w/ BBQ, fire pit, hanging sun shower & composting toilet. We are located in Stoneham, Maine. The space Your home for your stay is situated down the hill from the owners’ cottage and is completely private. Based on our experiences in Africa, the layout is a mixture of safari and glamping all in one. The property encompasses 15 acres of rolling hills, young forests, a pond as well as native foliage. Butterflies and wild flowers with multiple paths lead one on short walks surrounded by the quiet sounds of nature. Hiking trails are plentiful in this part of the country with the White Mountain National Forest right out the flap of your tent. From the parking area you take an easy 2 minute walk through the woods and arrive at our first structure, the Safari Pavilion. The Safari Pavilion is a place for gathering with all you need: chairs, table, hammock, mini-fridge, BBQ, coffee maker and cooking prep area. As you step out of the Pavillion, feast your eyes on "The View" which captures a unique shot of the Presidentials. Nearby and also facing the gorgeous view is the spacious 16 foot Glamp Bell Tent situated on a platform above ground. It's outfitted with a comfy Queen size Memory Foam mattress with sheets & comforter, extra blankets, carpets, electricity, sitting area with 2 chairs, table, electric heater, fan and Keurig to make coffee & tea with all the fixings. Conveniently nestled in the young forest between the Bell Tent and gathering pavilion is our Sun Mar composting toilet in a privacy tent. Soak in the view at the outdoor shower on the front corner of the pavilion-facing west, providing an open air bathing experience with our refreshing solar shower bag. (Alternatively in a separate location is the enclosed privacy shower utilizing the same solar shower). Ask and we will fill your shower bag with hot water if the sun isn't shining that day! The large natural fire pit on level ground provides for evenings of s'mores or simply go dark and watch the amazing Maine skies! Capture expansive views of the Milky Way, find the North Star or argue about whether the nightly traffic is SpaceX or a UFO?! Firewood for the fire pit is provided and your first fire is ready for you on arrival. Gravity fed fresh well water for cleaning & washing is located in the outdoor food prep and cleaning area of the Safari Pavilion - we keep the 50 gallon drum full. We do not offer a standard kitchen. However, our outdoor pavilion has a BBQ, mini fridge, pots, pans, plates, silverware/utensils, cups, mugs, coffee maker, toaster, pancake grill and a two burner electric hotplate to cook or boil water. We use the 50 gal drum of water, shower bags & two bins to wash dishes. Although independent off grid is our goal, at this time we are a combination of both solar and on grid and so are you. Sorry, no wifi yet but nearby diners and watering holes have available signal. If you don't want to cook, modern conveniences such as AJ's Everything Store- Bar & Restaurant is located 1.6 mi down the road for ice, drinks and even a pizza (cauliflower crust available) or hamburger. Ebenezer's Pub, serving unique Belgian beers is 15 min. South or sample a plethora of restaurants in nearby Bethel (20) minutes drive near the Sunday River Ski Area or Bridgton (30) minutes away near the Shawnee Peak Ski Area. Guest access Along with our extensive walking paths (Some are steep and unimproved), you are welcome to take a dip in our pond with a tiny beach, as well as enjoy sunrise or sunset yoga with our resident Sidartha. Other things to note Having been lucky enough to find this special place back in 2018, we camped here extensively for 2 years and then downsized from Sweden Maine with 281 residents to Stoneham with 268! + -. We built our tiny cottage from recycled and new materials in 2021. 2022 has been a fun time setting up the Safari/Glamp site. Rustic and again much recycled and natural materials have been combined with many of the comforts of home. We hope you will enjoy it as much we do!

Family owned property obtained through the barter system. You shingle my barn and I'll give you that property. My Pappy's land. 11 acres. Recently cleared for its timber. With some landscaping it became clear that beautiful campsites were forming. My father is 78 years old. The last thing he ever thought he would be doing with his retirement is jumping back on his excavator. Can't keep a good man down. Now here we are. Father and daughter. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a bucket compost toilet. A compost bag and shavings/leaves/moss provided. The tent sites are off grid with a few conveniences. Please view my camper rental if you are seeking another experience. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any.

Our off grid solar powered seasonal campsite includes platform with 4m Bell tent situated on a farm encompassing 60 acres of Maine woods, trails, fields and gardens. Our campsite is Pet Friendly and sits on an elevated area of a pine forest next to a mowed one acre field. Campsite includes 4m Bell tent with a full size bed. Site also includes a compost toilet, sun shower, additional screened sitting/sleeping area on it's own platform, covered kitchen area and field stone campfire pit. We are 1.5 miles from Androscoggin River Lands State Park and close to Mt. Blue State Park and the Nezinscot Farm and Farm Store - Winner of the Northeast Region James Beard American Classics Award. We are neighbors with the Washburn - Norlands Living History Center and the Boothby Orchard and Farm Winery.
