Great experience and a fun place to stay. We had some pretty strong storms roll through during our stay. We stayed warm and dry in our yurt. Our weiner dog had fun too.

Had a great time “glamping” at the blooming bus farm! My fiancé and I came from Chicago for a weekend away and it was perfect. The farm itself is super cute and the campsites are cozy. It rained most of our 2nd day, but we set up a table in the heated tent to play games which was perfect. Definitely recommend for a weekend away!

Perfect warm bungalow for a family of 4! Melissa was quick to respond to any request. Stars were beautiful at night and the site had everything we needed for a couple days unplugged. It got VERY cold at night so another space heater would be nice for winter camping. Heated blankets were incredibly warm and comfortable…kids loved them! Definitely want to come back in the summer to see the blooming bus! Wonderful stay and first winter “glamping” experience with the kids!

This trip was absolutely lovely. The hosts were very kind, and I loved getting to hang out with the alpacas and dogs. There's just enough trees and brush to make the trip feel decently secluded, but it's close enough to two towns to make groceries, antiquing, and errands easy. There's also some lakes to visit in summer. We went at the end of winter with our cat, and we can't wait to return when all the flowers and leaves are out.

I booked a very last minute stay and they were able to accommodate me. Gorgeous farm, extremely friendly host, and very cosy yurt. It was 32 degrees when I booked but I was able to stay warm all night

We had a wonderful stay at Blooming Bus Farms. This was our second time visiting the heated yurt during the winter, and it was so comfortable and cozy. We went as a family and appreciated all the details of the campsite, including fire starter, torches, the heated blankets, and comfy quilts. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the place lit up with fairy lights at night. The alpacas were so fun to see, especially Romeo who was born in May and was new since the last time we visited. We have recommended the place to several friends and hope to go back in the summer.

Camped just after a fresh snowfall. All the lights, snow, and farm friends (Alpacas?) made it really magical. Camped in our truck - easy to find and very quiet site. Had a chance to let the dogs run around and they said they enjoyed it too. Port-a-pottie was in great condition too. Whenever I travel through this part of Michigan I will choose this spot over any other in the area.

Weekend Trip to Rockhound Hideaway on Black River

Agate Grove hosted by Cathryn was wonderful! The amenities were nice, our host was very accommodating and communicated wonderfully, and the area was very quiet and relaxing. We loved the sauna and the hike to the falls through the property. Our tent was nice and warm mid-November because of the wood stove in the tent! Our tent/campsite was very clean. I would absolutely love to stay again!

Melissa's Blooming Bus Farms was a convenient stop for us along the way to tour the West Coast of Michigan. It's in a great location (only 30 minutes from Three Oaks) but felt remote and private--even with most of the leaves already off the trees for the winter. I'd love to go back in the summer months. Our campsite was entirely private and had everything we needed to relax-fire wood and a fire pit, a hammock, and a good work/dinner table, if needed. The Glamping sites look amazing! We were in a VW Bus and Camp Site 2 was perfect for us! We walked around the grounds after dark and enjoyed the whimsically lit pathways and gathering areas. It was so pretty. We were there off season but the stage area looks like a great venue for a large group. It would be perfect for a group of friends or a family reunion. Our favorite part was saying good morning to the sweet Alpaca neighbors that live there, too. They were curious and adorable.

An outdoor enthusiasts dream awaits at Rockhound Hideaway, with opportunities for hiking, biking, swimming, boating and everything in between. The property is situated on a two acre lot with three other rentals on the edge of the Ottawa National Forest, with my full time residence just a few doors away. Rockhound Hideaway is a short walk to Black River Harbor and Lake Superior, the North Country Trail, the scenic and wild Black River, and so many great outdoor adventures. The Black River is accessible from the property for those adventurous enough for a steep walk down the back of the property, or accessible from one of five parking areas along the stretch of road surrounding the property. Lake Superior is located 1 mile north up the road. Perfect for adventure seekers looking for a comfortable place to lay their head after a day exploring hiking trails, waterfalls, skiing, snowshoeing, and all the natural beauty the Ottawa National Forest has to offer. The property offers guests private space at each site, each site with its own charcoal grill, BYO charcoal, hammock, and fire ring. I provide 1 bundle of firewood per visit and more firewood is available at the common area for $5 per bundle. The restrooms for the property is a two stall outhouse for all guests to share located next to the common, which features a roofed sun room with picnic table, lounging area and fire pit. The common area, Kitchigami Commons is there for all guests to enjoy the outdoors in a different setting or enjoy the outdoors when it's raining. It has a fire pit, playing cards, yard games and two lake tubes for guests to take out and enjoy on the lake. This is also where I keep extra firewood and extra drinking water when the temps are above freezing. Please help yourself to the lake tubes, just return them to the Commons when you are done. There is a path from each site to the common area and outhouse. Kitchigami Commons is also where we cook down sap and turn it into maple syrup during the spring time maple season. I am still making improvements to the Commons to provide a more enjoyable shared space, but you are welcome to use it, explore it and access the floaties and games. Please just be aware I may be present there and actively working on improvements, though I keep anything loud limited to when guests aren't present.

Within walking distance is a full service convenience store that serves some of the best pizza around. The towns of Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville and South Haven are all approximately a ten minute drive.
