I can’t say enough good things about this campsite. The setting is absolutely beautiful—rustic, peaceful, and surrounded by nature in a way that makes you feel truly immersed in the wilderness. I came for the solitude of winter camping, and it was perfect, but I’d return in any season without hesitation. What really sets this place apart, though, is the host, Nick. He’s hands down the best host I’ve ever had—thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and deeply knowledgeable. But more than that, he’s an artist and a steward of the land, and his farm is a true sanctuary. You can tell he cares deeply about the environment and about creating a meaningful experience for his guests. If you’re looking for a place that offers both seclusion and soul, this is it. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Streeter Mountain was great! The cabin was as cozy as advertised, they started the wood burning stove for us so it was warm upon arrival, the hosts were welcoming, and the property is beautiful! Highly recommend for a weekend away to disconnect.

We had a good time while staying here, they were very helpful and accommodating. we stayed in the lighthouse which has no heat or electric while it was snowing, we did have our own personal propane heater and made it through the night just fine. it was definitely cold being that its the middle of winter, but they did offer us to stay in the main house with heat we just decided to rough it in the lighthouse and it was absolutely beautiful! the views were great especially in the snow (just very cold)! the walk to the lighthouse was a little rough due to all of the snow but overall it was great, i would definitely stay here again in the summer!

Another awesome stay at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary! We explored snowy trails, experienced the sauna and cold plunge, had a fire at our site at night and was plowed out in the morning by Nick after some snowfall overnight. It’s always so beautiful and peaceful here.

Sites are private and easy to get to. Hosts came out to meet me when I arrived. When I returned back from my event, they had plowed out my spot. The sunrise each morning was spectacular.

Weekend Trip to Stagecoach Falls

What a great spot! We decided to give winter camping in our fifth wheel a try and had read about Stagecoach Falls on IG. Kevin was up-front about having the water shut off because of the cold and not plowing the road in the winter and called us a couple of days in advance to let us know that there were about three inches of snow on the ground. We decided to give it a shot anyway and, unfortunately, it didn’t go as seamlessly as we had hoped. Because of the snow, the road was difficult to find. Once we found the entrance, we almost immediately got our rig stuck off the side of the dirt road. Kevin was super helpful in finding us someone to come and plow (and also offered to work out a refund if we decided to pull the plug) and we used Good Sam to get help in winching us back onto the road. Now that we’re here and settled in, we’re glad we didn’t head back home. It’s an absolutely beautiful, private spot right next to the river (we are on site 1). There is almost no light pollution, so if you’re into stargazing, you’ll love it here. It’s far enough off of the road that we’re letting our dog off leash since the other two spots are unoccupied, and he’s currently living his best life. Thanks, Kevin. We’re looking forward to returning here in the future.

Chapman Pond Acres

Easy access to beautiful Chapman Pond (100 yards away), which is stocked with Trout and also home to Bass, Crappie and Perch. Great place to fish or just relax! The use of two kayaks and firewood available at no extra charge. (IF using the kayaks, they are to be brought back to the campsite and NOT left at the pond. If they are left at the pond and stolen, campers will be responsible for the replacement cost, which is about $600.) Lots of wildlife (loons, turtles, geese, deer, bear etc). You're free to explore the land and trails that go part way around the pond to the "Big Rock" and beyond. Info at the campsite for other nearby hikes and activities. We allow public access to the "Grassy Area", however larger camper groups that book this site have full access and are welcome to setup tents there, but no fires are allowed on the grass.. only in designated fire pit. (FOR THOSE WITH A TOW BEHIND CAMPER, you will want to drive to the pond boat landing at the end of Chapman Pond Rd, turn around, head back towards the campsite and BACK IN.) FOR THOSE WITH DOGS, we love dogs, we have our own. For everyone's safety and well-being we ask that you please keep them with you and under your control at all times. We have a farm nearby and want no casualties because of a loose dog. Also, our 90 lb APBT is very friendly but not to every dog he meets. SMOKERS, we allow smoking at the site but please dispose of your butts properly and help keep our property beautiful. All around beautiful and peaceful campsite. City of Keene is 15 minutes away. Dog River Run

Surrounded on three sides by two brooks and the Dog River, our property covers a bit more than one acre in size. It is situated on a residential road in Riverton (or West Berlin), VT, near route 12, just six miles south of Montpelier, and four miles north of Northfield. So it's rural, but still very close to grocery shopping and laundromat. We have electrical hook-up available. From mid-July through late October, here is WIFI available although the signal is not strong up by the electrical hook-up. It's strongest towards the river. Mountain bike trails are close by. Boyer State Forest is two miles away (for hiking and biking). Norwich University, five miles away in Northfield, has hiking and biking trails. Ellie's Farm Market (one mile distance) has local organic produce in season as well as local cheese and maple products. NOTE: Previous campers have suggested that future campers NOT use Crosstown Road to get here, no matter what your GPS says. One weather event makes it VERY unfriendly to RV's.

Water is available from the year round trout stream, but drinking water must be carried in. Shaded Brookside Glen has a picnic table, a metal fire pit, and limited fire wood is supplied. The drive to the site is across a grassy, mowed, well drained field, but can be effected by long periods of rain.

The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. There are many options of local outdoor activities in the area or if you prefer, just sit and "listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock your soul".

Whether you are up for just hanging at your campsite, exploring the swamp, picnic in the field overlooking the swamp, visiting the animals, or visiting around town, hiking nearby trials, we are here for your stay! We have easy-to-access rustic style camping accommodations for all sized parties traveling with tents, travel trailers or small campers. All of our sites offer potable water, solar shower bags, parking, fire pits, and a picnic table. Welcome Center! It will be complete with a game section, dry firewood bundles, water, fire starter kits, also, extra supplies for purchase such as drinking water, bug spray and some homemade items, eggs, toiletries and some other items to purchase with cash (honor system) or Venmo or PayPal. Check it out! You don't need to purchase extras online if you'd rather pay here with a cost savings for you :) Onsite also, is a small library inside the Carraige House, let me know if you need a book. The old greenhouse has extra firewood available for your needs, located between 8 and 9 - also some items for you, to use, rent or purchase. Blackberry picking Aug-Sept. 1 pint free and then $5.00 a pint-honor system. Common Area-Strickly foot traffic only, this is a space to enjoy the open sky with a table, firepit and a grill for anyone's use. If you don't want to bring a grill and don't want to cook on grates. It is a first come first serve basis. But maybe your neighbors' will all come and cook with you? Cornhole!! Setup on weekends along the drive and next to the Common Area, find the bags in Welcome Center. The Shelf has many games, please return when not in use. Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering 30 places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating! If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away. Direct bookings and advanced reservations are no problem, and we also try to accommodate last minute bookings whenever we can. Feel free to msg me or call for questions and information. Checkout our onsite shop (Someday Farm Market) at the barn for our own handmade/homemade items and some Alpaca products also for sale May - Nov. A quiet, beautiful private setting with brook side camping, a large field or in the woods. Located three miles up on Stoney Brook road with a beautiful stretch of the brook passing through the property. Stoney Brook feeds into the White River, which has multiple amazing swimming and fishing holes, and is great for kayaking, canoeing, and tubing. On site activities include fishing, swimming, hiking, and skiing. Situated close to Killington, Woodstock and various local points of interest. Know Town welcomes well mannered pets (2 per site). We are 420 friendly and geared towards hosting those interested in arts, music, meditation, and ecology. We are currently building a Geodesic dome that will be available to rent soon. However it is currently a bit of a construction site, so pardon the appearance. Also, it should be noted that there is currently no Wi-Fi or cell service. Please be aware that Vermont prohibits out-of-state Firewood. In the future we hope to have firewood for sale, until then firewood can be purchased locally. There is also plenty of dead wood on our property to scavenge.

Visit to our secret swimming hole located nearby...and White River access just down the road. Just up the road is the popular Silver Lake and State Park, great swimming, sunbathing, paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. We are close to interesting activities, such as the White River National Fish Hatchery, Billings Farm, the Queechee Balloon festival, and more. Near by farm stands sell fresh organic produce, eggs, grass fed meats, homemade food products and crafts. What is there to eat and drink? Nearby restaurants include The Barnard Inn, Cloudland, Toziers, Tessi’s Tavern, Locust Creek Diner, The Bethel Sandwich Shop, Cockadoodle and Village Pizza. Babe’s Bar in Bethel offers amazing creative cocktails in an old railway station. In the village of South Royalton 12 miles away is our local Co-op. There you can access lots of healthy food choices, many locally sourced and lots of drinks, it's our go to market. Three miles up Route 12 is the Barnard General Store and gas station they have just about everything a camper could want. They stock ice, fresh baked goodies, fruit and vegetables, prepared foods and many locally produced delights such as ice cream, kombucha and fresh baked goods. Their meat case features, sausages, thick pork chops, fresh air chilled chicken, local grass fed beef and they always have fresh Farro Island salmon. They also offer wine, beer and ciders. A mile away on 107 is the Locust Creek General Store and gas station, they uniquely offer block ice, diesel and kerosene, drinks, simple fresh sandwiches, many frozen foods and lots of newspapers.
