I can’t say enough good things about this campsite. The setting is absolutely beautiful—rustic, peaceful, and surrounded by nature in a way that makes you feel truly immersed in the wilderness. I came for the solitude of winter camping, and it was perfect, but I’d return in any season without hesitation. What really sets this place apart, though, is the host, Nick. He’s hands down the best host I’ve ever had—thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and deeply knowledgeable. But more than that, he’s an artist and a steward of the land, and his farm is a true sanctuary. You can tell he cares deeply about the environment and about creating a meaningful experience for his guests. If you’re looking for a place that offers both seclusion and soul, this is it. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Streeter Mountain was great! The cabin was as cozy as advertised, they started the wood burning stove for us so it was warm upon arrival, the hosts were welcoming, and the property is beautiful! Highly recommend for a weekend away to disconnect.

Wow! The Hussey Mtn Tree Farm is a beautiful property with amazing views and Eben is a top tier host. This spot is clearly a labor of love. The site and facilities were very clean and organized. Eben went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Most of the ski trails were above our ability but Eben made sure there was some groomed trails for us to enjoy and there was plenty of opportunity for snowshoeing and enjoying nature.

We had a good time while staying here, they were very helpful and accommodating. we stayed in the lighthouse which has no heat or electric while it was snowing, we did have our own personal propane heater and made it through the night just fine. it was definitely cold being that its the middle of winter, but they did offer us to stay in the main house with heat we just decided to rough it in the lighthouse and it was absolutely beautiful! the views were great especially in the snow (just very cold)! the walk to the lighthouse was a little rough due to all of the snow but overall it was great, i would definitely stay here again in the summer!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at John’s property, even in the freezing winter! The land itself was gorgeous, offering a peaceful and scenic escape despite the cold. What truly stood out was John’s incredible attentiveness—he went above and beyond to ensure our group was comfortable and well taken care of. Before our arrival, he plowed the snow for us and even personally escorted us to the campsite, which we really appreciated given the extreme temperatures. The porta potty was clean and well-maintained, making our stay even more convenient. While water wasn’t available due to the freezing conditions (understandably so), everything else was well-prepared, and we had a fantastic time. We’d love to revisit when the weather is warmer and fully enjoy everything this beautiful property has to offer. Highly recommend this campsite and John as a host!

Weekend Trip to Slippery Rock Trails LLC

I booked this hipcamp SUPER last minute, due to some rearrangements that couldn't be worked through with our first planned hipcamp. John was so accommodating and prompt with checking that the heat in the tiny house was working before he approved the booking in case it wasn't and we couldn't stay. well it was working, and we found the little gas powered fireplace to be so soothing and cozy. I have to give John kudos as well for taking his snowmobile and making us a path to sled with as well as bringing us sleds to borrow! my partner and i are full grown adults and we had the best time sledding down that hill. it was hard to walk back up (we are aging) but it was so worth it. we will definitely be returning!

Another awesome stay at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary! We explored snowy trails, experienced the sauna and cold plunge, had a fire at our site at night and was plowed out in the morning by Nick after some snowfall overnight. It’s always so beautiful and peaceful here.

Adrian sent me very specific instructions to get to the site which I appreciate. It’s gated and there’s a beautiful lake half a mile from the site. You get the entire campground to yourself which is quite huge. There’s a wooden platform which can fit up to two tents. There’s a fire pit and picnic table as well. Just bring your own firewood. It was a surrounded by woods, dark, and very private. Though the road was rough, my AWD HRV had no problems getting there. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Stayed here the last week of the season and had an awesome experience. The property is well cared for and has plenty to explore. The oak terrace site had a great layout and setup. Eben was a great host. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs somewhere off the beaten path to unwind and explore a bit. 10/10 experience and will definitely be coming back.

Our piece of land has neighbors on both sides: one side protected by trees and cannot see them, the other side has a fence and both neighbors are super friendly. This is a 200 year old farm filled with life. There are well groomed areas and other more wild areas. We are on almost 13 acres of land that attracts all forms of natural wildlife. Each site includes a place to sit and eat (ie. picnic table), fire pit and just breathtaking views. Campers can drive into and park at their site. Each site is separate and private from other sites. We are 15 minutes from Highland Mountain Bike Park We are 15 minutes from BankNH Pavillon (concerts) We are 15 minutes from The Weirs in Laconia (Bike Week) We have two outdoor showers that are very rustic and open and the water is the temperature of the surrounding air (bring a bathing suit or something to shower in, there is no privacy fence at this time) This is an active farm that has an operating butcher shop on the premises. We have a farm store offering a variety of items for sale including eggs, honey, rubs and much more. There is a microwave available to the campers in the farm store as well. Each site will be given a bundle of fire wood on the house, additional wood is for sale. You are welcome to participate in farm work. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. We are a farm family with young children so large and rowdy or drinking parties are very heavily discouraged.

You will never run out of things to do in any season or weather. This site is less than 15 minutes from Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake Beach, Profile Lake, Mt. Lafayette, and less than 25 minutes from Flume Gorge, Clark's Trading Post, the seasonal Ice Castles, downtown Lincoln, the Hobo Railroad, North Woodstock, Loon Mountain, Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington, the Cog Railway, and so much more. Our 5-acre forest features just a single private campsite, with a huge tenting platform, granite fire pit, and a rocky creek passing right by the site. From the two-car parking area, a 200-ft. trail winds through the woods, over a wooden stream crossing, and ends at the site itself set far back from the road. Modern conveniences are also close by. It's 5 minutes to the nearest grocery / convenience store, 5 minutes to Rek-Lis Brewing, 4 minutes to Super Secret Ice Cream (James Beard Award nominee), 13 minutes to Polly's Pancake Parlor (our favorite) and countless other restaurants. 17 minutes to the nearest medical facility. Other Notes and Important Things: - Please pack out all trash. Cleaners are in high demand in this region and we will have to charge a steep retroactive cleaning fee if any trash is left at the site. - Likewise please let us know ASAP if trash is present when you arrive. - The tenting platform is 12 ft. wide on its narrowest edge. It's flat and dry, but there are no anchor points for stakes or lines. Freestanding tents are best, or you may want to pack extra-long guy lines. - Don't forget the bug spray, especially in Summer! That goes for all campsites in the White Mountains, especially creekside ones like ours. - A portable toilet with privacy tent is available at the back of the site. Please use the provided trash bags as liners and pack them out if used. Odor-absorbing pine shavings are provided. - Please observe quiet hours between 9PM and 9AM everyday. - Cell coverage is surprisingly strong here. You should have direct 4G LTE access on Verizon and AT&T, and 4G extended coverage on T-Mobile / Sprint. - You may want to pack a wood splitting axe. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. For first-time guests arriving by road, you will need to be guided in---the property is impossible to find on your own (no gps, no map). If you arrive by road, please note that you must park (free/overnight/safe/secure) at a narrow trailhead and walk to the lakeside sites about 1/4 mile down the hill. We are happy to help you with your gear and have a couple of wheelbarrows and sometimes an ATV. So unless you want to RV/truck/car camp at the trailhead (definitely an option), it is tent-only camping on the lakeshore and garden sites. Please don't ask if you can drive your vehicle right down to the site---we don't even drive our own down. However you decide to arrive, we are happy to guide you at no extra charge. We do have cellular phone service on site and shoreline but not on the logging road in. [There is unfortunately no way for us to make the property accessible for guests who need the use of personal mobility equipment. There are is a firepit at the cabin, along with one down by the river. The lower area by the river is a beautiful place to hang, pitch hammocks etc... The cabin is near the road, which is great for loading in and loading out, but you will hear/see cars drive by. (Read our reviews, we stand by them!) There is no running water or bathroom on the property so we ask you bring a camping potty and do not bury human waste. The Bear River, which is a beautiful spot to swim and wade in, runs right through the property- but it's also drinking water and a protected watershed. Again, please make sure you have a camping potty plan. Cabin Features: There are 2 cots inside, but also feel free to bring your own pads/bedding... Heat is provided via a propane Buddy Heater as needed (smoke/carbon dioxide detector is in the cabin.) There are solar lights inside, along with a USB plug to charge small devices. It is a clean, warm, dry room, with beautiful light and good ventilation with the windows cracked. Nearby places you will like: We are within walking distance to downtown restaurants and public swimming area on Long Lake. There's also porto potties next to the walkable country store, which has everything you forgot to bring. Also a great ice cream shack, and an above-average watering hole, The Olde Mill Tavern. This is a self check-in/out, so expect an easy arrival process (and we'll ask you to please leave the property prepared for the next guest to arrive.)

These primitive campsites are in a mountain field overlooking New Hampshire's White Mountains. Trail connections link the network with Kingdom Trails in East Burke and gravel routes to New Hampshire and the rest of Vermont. Camp and ride: An ideal location for evening ride after you set up camp. Eat, sleep, ride ! Porta-potties are located 100 yards below the campsites. Moose, bear, deer, coyote, snowshoe hares, grouse, woodcock, wild turkey and bobcat, can be seen occasionally as you explore this upland forest and the bottom lands heading down to the Victory Bog, a pristine wetland areas, known for canoeing, bird watching. Kayakers and campers can experience white white water during high water seasons on the Moose River which flows by the bog. The access road to the campsites through the field is rough. Vehicles with extra clearance are recommended. Campers should come prepared with fly, mosquito, tick repellents without which you will be literally eaten alive in June and July. After mid-August the insects are less vexing. Obtain drinking water from our office manager at 2428 Victory Hill Rd. and bathe somewhere in Weir Mill Brook, 1/2 mile from the campsite - if you need to get clean. We are conveniently located on the edge of town, there is a small grocery store close by as well as Sunny's Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, Dollar General, Grandma's Kitchen, 2 gas/convenience stores, multiple thrift stores, and a record shop. Please see the aerial photo in this listing for an idea of the layout of the land and surrounding roads, houses etc. IMPORTANT HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS. We have NO BATHROOM, kitchen or shower facilities and there is no potable water on site. An OUTHOUSE composting toilet is available. Bring your own toilet paper, and please do not put anything down the hatch other than plain toilet paper (absolutely no wet wipes please--these can be put in the trash can) NO DUMPING of grey or black water anywhere on the property. ARRIVAL: We strongly suggest arriving before sundown as there are no street lights or any kind of lighting in the field or the access road to the field. If you do plan on arriving after dark definitely bring headlamps and or flashlights. WEATHER/ROAD ACCESS: Due to unpredictable New England weather, especially this spring as we have received unprecedented amounts of precipitation, there may be times when the field access road is not passable due to excessive mud etc Please know that this is a rustic undeveloped field and we have no control over the weather. In the event of impassable road conditions, you may park at the bottom of the field access road. We have garden carts available to haul your gear to the camping area which is only a short walk. ABOUT THE PROPERTY: Our folk victorian farmhouse has been owned by the same family for seven generations since it was built in the 1850s. Once a 20-acre working dairy farm, much of the land was subdivided throughout the years, leaving five acres with the original barn, farmhouse, large field, and wooded area. We are a small family farm offering farm-fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables. We are honored to be stewards of this property and want to share it with others.
