Historic, Quiet Organic Farm

The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. Learn more about this land: Mosswood is on 5 acres of mostly forested land, there's usually a project going (or three). We've recently finished building a barn workshop, a covered timber frame deck in the meadow, and a very unique woven tree net that you'll be sure to enjoy! No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote. There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions. We love sharing good conversations and ideas about how to live well and stay excited about all things. Towns/Activities nearby: Veneta/Elmira are charming small rural towns with all the basics less than 10 min drive: Grocery Outlet, Bi-mart, Ace hardware, Auto parts, some decent restaurants. Fern Ridge Lake is 10 minutes down the road for walking trails, boating and paddling, plenty of other outdoor activities nearby. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

Riverside/Riverwood

Summer is just around the corner and we are happy to be drying out from this wet winter. The mornings through summer are cool, calm and foggy. The fog typically burns off by mid morning. The winds can pick up in the afternoons so if you plan to be on the river, it's best to do so earlier in the day. The wind does die down in the evenings. Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). The Riverside site has a fire pit and a deck for viewing the river. (Please note, the deck is just for viewing the river and is not for River access. The steps were washed away several years ago and we don't have plans to repair them. We do have a caution rope for safety. The Riverwood site is away from the river bank about 100' and sits under beautiful, large spruce trees. It is a short walk from both sites to our ramp and dock to be on the river. There are signs on site to help you find your way. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests. There is also a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk from both campsites. All areas are cleaned and sterilized after each guest. It is a shared space with other campers so if you use the space to eat breakfast, drink your coffee or get out of the rain we ask you put everything back where it was. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. PLEASE NOTE..... The Glass House currently is NOT available until after September 4th. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. Bring your Kayak or SUP to explore the slow moving river (or rent ours!). Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds, Beavers early in the morning and evenings. Our resident River Otters have been very active the past couple of years. You'll see them in the morning and evenings swimming, playing and munching on Crawdads. There are Deer although we seldom see them on our property but, they are across the river. There is a huge heard of Elk down river. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process once you make a reservation: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message. About a week before your stay, we will send the physical address and directions and on-site instructions for check in. Once you arrive at the property, there is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the 2 camp sites. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. We don't always have firewood available onsite so you might want to bring a bundle anyway. A little about the property and us: We purchased this property 10 years ago. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river...somewhere...when we came across this property. Our Hipcamp sites sit on bare property adjacent to our house. The property and house had sat vacant for 3 years prior to us finding it. It was a mess, all overgrown with blackberries, moss, etc. We spent the first 3 years cleaning up the house, apartment downstairs and putting in a new patio, new ramp and updated and larger dock. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Rick is an avid fisherman/hunter while Debbie enjoys kayaking, gardening, reading and watching the river go by. Rock Crick Acres

Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). Enjoy the evenings around the fire pit. We ask if the ground is wet you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideaway. If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get quite a bit of barking from the dogs to the east. I just want to be honest and warn you. Those east dogs don't like other dogs for some reason.

Welcome to Fernwood Retreat at Bloom Hill Farms tucked away in the rolling hills of the coastal mountains. We call it Fernwood because of the beautiful ferns and forest area throughout our 8-acre farm. We currently offer three sites that are private and secluded. We are off the beaten path with no road traffic or light pollution which makes the night sky and stars so vibrant it looks like you could reach out your hand and touch them. Wake up in the morning, make some coffee and stroll the walking paths along the property. Sit on the creek side bench and soak in the sounds of the birds chirping or just listen to the water flow. Take a stroll through Fern Gully and listen to the squirrels chatter. We offer a meditation area, a communal fire pit, lighted paths, farm fresh eggs, seasonal veggies, a pond and even a big swing! We are situated in the beautiful Southern Willamette Valley and close to many award winning wineries like Bluebird Hills Cellars and Broadley Vineyards, breweries like Long Timber Brewing Company, hiking, waterfalls, mountain bike trails and just an hour away from the Pacific Ocean. William J. Finely Wildlife Preserve is just a few miles up the road as is the historic Hull-Oakes Lumber Mill. And my neighbor is Lainey Morse founder of Original Goat Yoga!! We provide a charging station/electricity, port-o-potty, potable well water and each site has two Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. Each stay includes a half dozen farm fresh eggs.

The Falls at Elk Prairie

Learn more about this land: Centrally located in the Foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range between Portland and Salem, The Falls at Elk Prairie is a small, private, "ADULT ONLY" Campground that has newly opened in the fall of 2021. Please review the Rules to make sure they can be adhered to. Dogs are not allowed. This isolated and remote Campground will provide the quiet, peaceful and semi private camping experience you're looking for. Currently there are three camp Sites located at the base of a forty foot Waterfall flowing into a damned Pond/ swimming Hole. Each Site has it's own primitive picnic Table, seating and fire Ring. For secluded camping in the Willamette Valley, the nature-loving town of Corvallis has you covered. Explore 60 miles of surrounding trails, kayak the river, or drive to a hilltop for Benton County views. Want to surf the Pacific? The Oregon Coast is just an hour's drive away. Whatever your camping style, you're sure to find your dream spot around Corvallis and nearby Albany. Pulling into an RV park puts Oregon State University events right at your doorstep. (Free Wi-Fi is a tempting plus). For a more rustic camping experience, pitch a tent in one of the state parks or natural areas. A short drive west takes you to a breathtaking coastal wilderness—Siuslaw National Forest. Across the mountain landscape, you find horse camps, offroad vehicle camps, and 40 developed campgrounds. One of the most accessible camping spots is Marys Peak. The highest point in the Coast Range, it's a popular getaway for hiking, snowshoeing, biking, and birding. At the Marys Peak Campground, camp easy with picnic tables and fire rings under a canopy of Douglas fir and cedar trees. Another Coast Range favorite for RV and tent camping is Alsea Falls Recreation Site. Meditate to the crashing of 30-foot falls, or step down to the Alsea River.
