Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties (please be aware of clearly marked private property/no trespassing signs at the end of the public road), while being 6 miles from of downtown Cottage Grove and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak Savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is located by the green Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. There is a .8 mile loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

Upriver Paradise is your private, gated retreat with elevated views and tranquil sounds of the McKenzie River that overlooks forestry land. Steps away to your private river access with approx. 150 ft of river frontage to explore, cast a line, take in the wildlife, waving to rafters and drift boats floating by. Included are two power and potable water sites, up to 8 guest. Power pedestals have 50-30 and 20 amps at each location. Both locations have a 50' power extensions(30amp) and extra water hoses if needed. There are two picnic tables, fire pit, extra seating, garbage, WIFI and one portable toilet on site for use during your stay. There is no septic on site for gray or black waste There is a dump site approx. 1 mile west. The town of Harrisburg is such a cool, easy-going, quaint place to spend some time. Accessibility is one of its' key assets. Harrisburg has a few family owned places to eat at, and a few shops to explore. It's a one light town, but that is why we love it here. The river is my favorite part. I sit for hours on end, watching the water flow by. Fishing, rafting/floating, and wading in the water are all fun things to do here. If you are looking for something just to get off the highway for the night, or for a longer stay, this is a great quiet place to be. Cook on the swing out grill over a complementary wood fire when allowed. This can occur quickly, so we request that mid-June through the first rains, please bring your own approved liquid fuel stove for use in the gravel area on fold out tables. Royal Heart Hill

If you do not follow our rules you will be flagged, Hipcamp will be notified and you will be charged-depending on cleanup costs/damage!* The private and peaceful 'Royal Heart Hill' property consists of Oak Savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (No swimming or fishing! It is a man-made pond and not stocked because it is home to many rough-skinned newts). *UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was just harvested as of winter 2024. Thus, we no longer have that 'deep in the forest' type-feel, but it did open up some westward/sunset views. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is located by the green Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Royal Heart Hill is in the Heart of Royal, Oregon (Cottage Grove proper) at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties (please be aware of clearly marked private property/no trespassing signs at the end of the public road), while still being just under 6 miles outside of downtown Cottage Grove- with many options for shopping, dining, breweries and live music! Cottage Grove has nearby access to wineries and two large lakes (Cottage Grove and Dorena) with swimming, boating, fishing, as well as hiking and biking trails. We are 35 minutes/27 miles from Eugene *CAUTION! Poison oak is present! Please know how to identify, or ask and I will show you. I have done my best to clear it from main camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a .8 mile loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are welcomed and encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. The loop can be accessed from both campsites by walking south/downhill toward the pond signs and following the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. It’s a short hike, but can be made longer by taking off-shoots and exploring the pond area. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. There is also nearby access to BLM property- about a half mile from both sites. Follow Overholser Road downhill until you see the sharp-right turnoff where you will find the BLM gate (it is a 4 mile (ish) hike from the sites to the end of the BLM road and back). The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk and accept liability for any potential or incurred injuries- the closest hospital is 7miles/15minutes away.

Bamboo Forest Campsite

Welcome to the Bamboo Forest at Parker Learning Gardens! We are a nonprofit educational 33-acre farm located 10 miles north of Eugene, Oregon, right between the small towns of Coburg and Harrisburg. Our campsites are located at our 3+ acre Bamboo Forest, with covered platforms located alongside and underneath the canopy of our whimsical corridor of huge Linden Trees. The campsites have access to a wood-fired earthen cob oven, an outdoor kitchen sink, and a covered eating/cooking space. There are over 40 varieties of bamboo in our densely-packed 35-year-old Bamboo Forest. You are welcome to explore this unique forest by navigating through our meandering trail system. Elsewhere on the farm we have over 500 fruit trees, many farm animals, and 12 demonstration gardens. We offer seasonal educational programming from Spring-Fall, with various community classes, workshops and field trips for schools. The mission of Parker Learning Gardens involves immersing people of all ages in nature while demonstrating how to: grow food organically, tend to the land from an ecological perspective, incorporate animals in a regenerative way, and be conscious environmental stewards. If you are interested, there may be an option for a private educational tour for an additional fee (dependent on timing and availability). Otherwise, your stay will be private with open access to the trail system of our Bamboo Forest and huge Linden Tree Grove (approximately 5 acres of of beautiful wondering space to explore and unwind). We are about 5 miles from the I-5 exit in Coburg. The farm is located in the old floodplain of the Willamette River, with close access to places to swim just a short car drive away. There are amazing hikes within 30 minutes, and many family and youth activities/opportunities nearby (check the Eugene weekly event calendar).

We put in campsites, a cabin, a barn loft, and a fire pit. We offer these to guests when not being used by our family and friends. Wildlife includes deer, turkey, and quail & 3 active beehives. Guests are welcome to fresh eggs from the chicken coop. We are fully fenced and gated for your family and pets protection. South Santiam River is less than 1 mile for fishing, kayaking, or rafting. Foster reservoir is 30 minutes away and Green Peter Reservoir is 45 minutes away for boating, swimming, and fishing. There is a loop exercise trail that circles the property and offers 30-degree climbs. You can also play games inside or basketball outside.We thought it would be great to have family gatherings and get togethers here and think of this as our slice of heaven, and hope others enjoy it as well.
