Nice quiet spot on the river. Brought us firewood on Friday that lasted until Sunday morning. Great spot if your looking for a no hassles, no frills place to chill.

Camping at Geronimo's land reminded me of camping as a Boy Scout in my early teens. It was awesome to share the nostalgia with my daughter as we roasted marshmallows over the campfire. We were able to enjoy all that the place had to offer, like the rope swing into the frigid Colorado river, fishing poles available at the riverside, the strategically placed hammock providing a peaceful, relaxing view of the water and even the little old play park. Our stay was uninterrupted, except for the welcomed firewood delivery on the first night. This facilitated the great Daddy-Daughter Camping tradition we have come to enjoy annually. PS. This is not glamping, this place is for REAL CAMPERS (you know yourselves).

4 nights at Texas Music River Ranch Events CTR

6 of us camped out right by the river. The host crew was extremely accommodating making sure we had enough wood, and offering us the fish they caught! It felt secluded and like our own little slice of paradise. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can!!

2 nights at Glat Austin at Lake Bastrop North Shore Park

The tent was in a perfect location with a beautiful view. The grounds have many areas for kids to play and lounging with shared tables, a rope hammock/bed and a dock to fish off of. The tent itself was comfortable and was equipped with much of what we needed. FRANCE had basic cooking utensils (bring tongs and a cutting board if needed) and comfortable bedding. Our kids were with us and on the reservation but extra linens weren't available for the couch or cot that was provided. We had extra so it wasn't a problem but just something to be aware of. The bathrooms were similar to those on the Southside. One room stalls with toilet, sink and then shower. Quick well lit walk from the tents. We stayed on the north side of the park and did all the loops and most of the hike to the south side. Very flat and kid friendly with lots of shade.

1 night at On The Rocks Glamping Resort

Oh my gosh, I’m coming back for sure. This place was amazing and Leslie was so helpful in helping us with a forgotten charger. This is a beautiful spot and it would be great for multiple families renting the whole place out. Everything was wonderful and we will definitely be back.

1 night at Cedar Break at Howard Ranch

Twisted x brewing is literally right next door; it was great to hop over there for a few beers then walk 20 yards back to our RV spot. We didn't really explore the ranch much (it was right before Christmas) but the grounds and RV spots were nice!

Weekend Trip to Glat Austin at Lake Bastrop North Shore Park

We stayed in Glat #2. First night we didn't have hot water so that made for a cold shower after a long trip but they took care of it the next morning. Thank you Ghandi! In addition to the private shower you also have access to the park showers. In these tents (and their airstreams) you have all the necessities of a campsite without having to pitch a tent. We brought along our stove top burner and kitchen utensils such as a cutting board, knives and thongs and I'm glad we did because the ones provided were a bit worn. The park has a place to rent canoes or kayaks, many picnic areas, a couple fishing piers, a swimming area, and a 4 mile hike! We did the hike and boy was I glad we had that hot tub to soak in afterwards! All in all a great place to bring family and friends in the great outdoors. My only suggestion for our host is to add lighting around the outside sink, grill and dining area. Luckily we brought headlamps so it was easier to cook and eat outside now that the time change has us in the dark at 5pm!

We were close to the river for fishing. The campsite was clean and quiet, the host were friendly and brought you firewood the first evening there and also checked on everyone each day. Our 3 little dogs loved the area and we went for long walks during the day.

Swim, kayak, or canoe...but there’s no better way to beat the legendary Texas heat than by grabbing an inner tube and enjoying a calm, steady float along a river known for an abundance of fossils and its wildlife. Bring your own tubes, kayaks and canoes, we are currently replenishing our inventory. Or perhaps you prefer to fish the shady tree-lined banks. Either way, you'll see a variety of birds while you relax on or beside the cool waters of the Colorado River. We're kid and dog friendly (leashes mandatory) and we love musicians. Bring an instrument and join us for an impromptu jam session in our special events room or around the campfire. Cook dinner on our BBQ pit. Firewood is available onsite A few rules... 1. Check in is before sunset. We ask that all Hipcampers wait at gate for staff to guide you to your location for safety reasons. Contact us if you arrive ahead of schedule. 2. No wondering by the upper level cabins (these are private property). Showers are behind these cabins. Please respect staff spaces. 3. If you have an extra vehicle, please park it with your other vehicle. 4. If you have a 3rd extra vehicle, let us know and we will direct you where to park it. 5.
