We have a variety of campsites styles ranging from cozy secluded oak groves to more open spaces for camping under the stars. Rates: $25 PER PERSON, PER NIGHT (minimum of 2 campers). Children age 3 and under are free. If bringing children, please tell us how many and their ages. Nearby Parks for hiking and swimming: HAMILTON POOL PRESERVE (1.9 mi) is open by reservation for hiking and swimming. Visits are for 3 1/2 hour blocks of time. No dogs allowed at Hamilton Pool MILTON REIMERS RANCH COUNTY PARK (2.5 mi) is nearby and is open for hiking, swimming, fishing, rock climbing, and cycling. Dogs on a leash allowed at Reimers. CASH ONLY! $5/per person, no reservation required. We love it there! WEST CAVE OUTDOOR DISCOVERY CENTER (2.6 mi) is open by reservation only for guided tours of the waterfall/cave-no swimming allowed. No dogs allowed at West Cave PEDERNALES FALLS STATE PARK (34 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking and swimming. Dogs on a leash allowed ENCHANTED ROCK STATE NATURAL AREA (71 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking on weekends and holidays. If we are not under a burn ban, BRING FIREWOOD and/or charcoal because we have fire rings and BBQ cookers at most of the sites. If we are under a burn ban, campfires (even in fire rings) are not allowed, but bring some charcoal because you may still use BBQ Cookers, which we have at each of our sites. You may also use a campstove if you wish to bring one. We have a hot/cold outdoor shower our guests are free to use.

Secluded, great hill country views

The space is secluded from the rest of the property which offers 4 short term rentals. There may be other RVs near this site. *there is no longer a container pool at this site and as photos suggest there is a shipping container house being finished out near the site. Beautiful swimming hole a short walk away from the RV site-- waiver required to swim. Extra guests are $12 each to swim. Bird Haus Farms was established in 2019. We are central to the Texas Hill Country-- within minutes to San Antonio (30 min), New Braunfels (25 min), Boerne (25 min) and Fredericksburg (60 min). There is a Wal Mart and HEB Grocery just across the highway. 15 min to Guadalupe state park. We are also a 3 minute drive to Guadalupe Canoe Livery where you can rent tubes and kayaks on the river. We do have chickens and cows on the property and other guests with dogs-- please keep your pets on a leash. We also have 2 cats. We also have an electric fence so take caution. Electrical hookup available. 50 amp. Toilet and sink available in field below RV site (inside shipping container). Water hookup available. Sewage hookup available. Overview

Take most of your expectations about camping in Texas and throw them out the window as you head toward Hill Country. The landscapes, small towns, and culture give this scenic region of central Texas a flavor all its own. Some of the best camping in the state can be found amid the scenery on public lands, in RV parks, and at glamping rentals. Located northwest of Austin and San Antonio, Texas Hill Country incorporates a unique landscape of rollicking hills, colorful fields of bluebonnets, and rippling rivers. Discover the German heritage of the regional setters—which is overlaid with a Texas twang.

Where to go

Eastern & Northern Hill Country

If your camping trip through Texas Hill Country has time for an urban stop, put Austin on your list. The state capital marches to the beat of its own drum with the proud motto “Keep Austin Weird.” This marks the eastern edge of Hill Country. Close to town, McKinney Falls State Park is a must see, notable as a popular swimming hole. Pedernales Falls State Park offers views of the Pedernales River and a tumbling waterfall and over 20 miles of trails for mountain biking. Inks Lake State Park offers recreation on land and water. Colorado Bend State Park provides miles of trails and views of a 70-foot waterfall.

Central Hill Country

Central Hill Country centers around San Antonio and areas north. San Antonio is worth a visit, with the Alamo National Historic Landmark and the River Walk being popular stops. Head out to the smaller towns of Fredericksburg and Boerne to find wineries, live music, and unique personalities. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is one of the most popular stops in Hill Country, renowned for the massive granite dome focal point. Climb to the top to take in the views. It offers tent camping and books well in advance. For easy access for tubing the Guadalupe River, check out Guadalupe River State Park, which has four miles of riverfront. Camping sites are available for both tents and RVs with hookups.

Western Hill Country

Western Hill Country gets farther from the urban centers. Bandera and Kerrville are small towns in the region. Located on the Frio River, Garner State Park is one of Hill Country’s most popular camping spots, with hiking trails and swimming holes.
