Weekend Trip to Wild WA Coast Lookout ($75 - $125)

Had a quiet, private stay and enjoyed beautiful weather. Firewood had been left at the site, and soap by the sink was a nice touch! Be prepared for a steep but gorgeous walk down to the Sacred Lowlands and beach.

I was so eager to camp at this beautiful oasis. Unfortunately I was not feeling well the day of check in and while I was setting up my camp my body just said I needed to stop. The hosts were so very kind and understanding. I will certainly be back as the property is so beautiful and the hosts were very kind.

Cute, great view of the surrounding area. You definitely hear the sound of cars driving by. The bathrooms were very nice and clean and heated. I think the post is a little misleading saying max 4 people, since there was only two cots. I only bring it up since I was scouting the place for possibly bringing my kids with me on the next time but they would probably not be the most comfortable sharing a cot. It seems like a great spot for couples or solo travelers like myself. A lot of great hikes nearby and sol duc hot springs.

Very easy to find location. I booked last minute and Jamie was great about confirming my booking. Site was great size and large tree for cover, also had picnic table and fire pit.

Weekend Trip to Frog Pond Cottage

This was a fun and cozy location. I doubt it would really comfortably sleep more than six. We had five people and had plenty of room. It’s a unique and fun property close to Olympic National Park. We would return for longer once the shower is up and running. (Looks like it’s in progress!) We got a little lost arriving which was completely our fault, and Nick was quick to respond and help us out.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Shadow Mountain Campground. The owners of this campground were super helpful and accommodating, fixing the lights in the pitch black and bringing us a heater, firewood, and towels when the rain had soaked the tent carpet. Would absolutely recommend!

Weekend Trip to sol duc rainforest retreat

Beautiful location! We were originally going to camp for 2 nights, but due to the rain we had to cut it short so we only stayed for 1 night. The whole campground is very well thought out, there are full kitchens with stove and utensils that we used and clean bathrooms. There was a shower with warm enough water, but we didn’t use it. I would def come back when the weather is better!

We were very excited to find this lovely campground on Hipcamp. It looks just like the online pictures but better. We camped for 1 night. The campground was easy to find with good directions from the host. Entry was as stated. Top of my camp list is a clean campsite and this campground is beautifully kept. Our site had a view of the roaring magnificent Pacific Ocean through the trees. Gorgeous. It has a stone fire pit and a picnic table and benches. There were two privets within 1 minute walk. Though pits, they were clean but take your own tp. There was a dish clean up area- kept clean, with hot water, I saw a shower but didn’t try it. There is also another shower and privy at the south end close to the beach trail. The camp is full of beautiful, tall trees with large burls. Seems endemic to the area. Very interesting. Signage is good in the camp and you can’t get lost. Campground is close to the 101 but well treed to disperse road noise. Most of the sites we saw were on the edge of a high cliff so kids and pets need to be watched. Beach is gorgeous and stoney. So many humongous driftwood trees. Be careful getting onto beach from trail. Also, tide comes in fast. We only stayed one night and it poured in the night and all morning. We left early but will be going back. It was lovely. A great spot located well with lots to do in the area! The check in process was very easy and all employees I interacted with were super helpful and kind. Campsites were clean, and facilities on site/campsites were great for the price. Having the general store there is also very convenient, they had a great selection and fair pricing for the area.

This was a great spot for car camping or any kind. Clean, spacious and everything you could need. Fire ring, fire wood, picnic table, potable water, bathrooms and shower. All with an amazing view and walkable to the beach. 100% worth it!

We had a great stay on Paul’s land. We arrived later and Paul was very helpful and welcoming in showing us his land and what we could utilize while we stayed there! He had great recommendations and the property has a lot to offer, especially for the price point. We noticed on the reviews talking about the toilet/bathroom but we had no issues. Overall, we had such an amazing stay!

2 nights at Crescent Beach & RV

We camped there in March (early season). The staff was really great and friendly! I didn't bring a gas-grill so I asked them for a fire pit grilling grate to cook steaks ... they provided one quickly. The beach is huge, amazing and relaxing, but there were also people not relaxing and surfing the waves instead. The campsites are a little tight/cozy, but the views and time spent on the walking the beach or hiking the nearby trails are worth it.

The Rustic Retreat

We will be open for our 2nd Season on May 1st, 2025. We are still updating the sites so as soon as they are complete I will update the pictures. Updates for this season: We have added, moved, and changed the the name of some of the campsites, so if you are a returning camper double check the campsite number before booking. One change is, Former campsite 1 (the pond campsite) has been changed to a communal fire pit with log rounds for sitting. This is the only firepit that will be allowed on the premises due to fire danger. The firepit can be used by all campers until the Clallam County burn ban comes into affect. During the burn ban, the firepit will be closed off. We have also added walking trails, more lighting and parking. We have not been able to get fish in the ponds yet, however some wild ducks stop by now and again to say hi. Come enjoy the serenity of The Rustic Retreat. Located on 50+ private wooded acres, over a mile off the highway our tent sites you will give you the peace and quiet you are looking for. The night sky is clear and perfect for star gazing. This place truly is a piece of heaven. As of right now we have large and small tent sites. There are ponds to look at and eventually they will be stocked with fish. The campsites are not completely flat and may have a few small holes so please be careful and watch your step. A lot of this property has been left natural for years and we are trying to keep it as natural as possible. We are just starting out so this place will get better and better as time goes on. We at The Rustic Retreat value your privacy and we try not to interact with campers unless you request. The Peninsula Northwest has some amazing activities including hiking, biking, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, whale watching, beach combing, Kayaking, and so much more. The Rustic Retreat is about 20 minutes from downtown Port Angeles and the Victoria Ferry and about 30 minutes from Lake Crescent. It is the perfect place to stay in between everything.

Deer Park Mountain View RV Campsite

There are open meadows, forested areas, and a trail that circles the property. Find the beginning of the wood-chip trail near the campsite and follow it through the trees. The trail comes out near the house. Enjoy the view and take care near the cliff. The campsite is in a small open meadow surrounded by trees on three sides and with a view to the south toward the Olympic mountains. We have only one campsite. You will be very private with no other campers nearby. Electrical, water, and sewer hookups are provided. SEWER HOOKUP NOTE: Sewer hookup is on the driver's side of the vehicle if you pull in forward. If you pull all the way forwards the sewer hookup will be 24' behind the front tire. There is no turnaround and you cannot drive off the front of the pad. The hookup is raised about 2 feet off the ground to enable gravity feed. It may not work to back in and run the sewer hose on the ground to our connection. Please contact us if you have any questions. ELECTRICAL HOOKUP NOTE: Our hookup is 50 amps. Please let us know if you need a 30 amp adapter. There are many outdoor activities in the Olympic National Park, including hiking, camping, climbing, swimming, ocean beaches, etc. Olympic Peninsula Motorcycle Club 1/2 mile. Our Camp is situated on a little more than 5 acres out of our 18 acres of Dense Enormous Evergreen Forest in the Olympic temperate rain forest region. It is next to the road on Highway 101 but still offers our guests the wilderness experience and semi-privacy with tall trees surrounding the camp. We recommend that our guests use GPS to find Forks, WA, First. Once you find Forks, you will be able to find our camp. Helpful Hints: If you are traveling from the South side of town: We are only a Half Mile from the Northbound Edge of town on the Right. If you are traveling from the North side: Watch for milepost number 193. This means you are very close. Our camp will be on the left. Our sites were spaced to offer guests plenty of "Elbow Room". Check-in: 1pm-9pm Check-out 11am Camp Office Hours: 7am - 7pm Daily: May-September. October-April: Call as Needed: 360-460-7475 Electric Vehicles: Please remember to pack your EV adapter power cord. Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. If the description on the website seems like what you're looking for, I would highly recommend this location."
