We had a wonderful time at the alpaca farm with my kids! Mark and Candy’s property is absolutely beautiful, and the alpacas—especially Skippy—were hilarious. It was the perfect little staycation during spring break, and it truly felt like we were disconnected from everything. We also picked up some of their homemade goodies—the chocolate chip cookies were devoured by my kids in no time, and the sourdough bread and fresh farm eggs were absolutely A+. I couldn't recommend this spot enough, and I’d gladly return in the future.

My dog and I had a wonderful stay at the Bluebird site! Nestled in a beautiful wooded area within a lovely neighborhood, it was truly a perfect stay. Surprisingly, the porta potty was exceptionally clean, which was a nice bonus. Our host was incredibly kind, even allowing us to extend our stay beyond the check-out time since no one was arriving afterward. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and if I hadn’t been just passing through, I would have happily booked another night!

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay here in a tent, the only thing that we felt could be improved is more signs, it was very difficult for us to find it, other than that we really enjoyed our stay it was the most beautiful view, we had a chance to go walk through all the campsites and we loved every one of them I would recommend campsite 1, 3, and 5 out of all of them. He also provided a lot of wood which helped a lot! We also brought our 2 dogs and they had a blast! 10/10 would recommend and will be returning.😁

My wife and I had an amazing stay on Marks land. It was relaxing, well set up, spacious, and close to so many great places. Just a 20 minute drive to Leavenworth and a couple miles from fish lake and lake Wenatchee. We enjoyed relaxing by the firepit, hiking in Leavenworth, and fishing at fish lake. We'll be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Cedar River Retreat

Cedar River Cabin is the very definition of cozy. With a heater, mini-fridge, microwave and bottled water, it was hardly roughing it. Yet the setting is quiet, close to the Cedar River trail and full of birdsong. The mattress was actually comfortable! It’s the perfect spot to escape the sounds and pace of the city and so convenient. I will definitely be back.

My family absolutely loved camping out on Kandi & Marks farm! They were so friendly, accommodating, and great with my 2 young children. All of the animals on the farm were great and Levi the goat is so friendly and sweet we all agreed that we will have to come back to see him! We had fresh chicken, duck, quail, and goose eggs and fresh baked sourdough bread which was such a treat!

Weekend Trip to Cedar River Retreat

I had a great time here! I was traveling by myself to escape the city for a couple of days, it was a quick trip less than an hour from Seattle. The property is really well cared for, great fire pit and covered picnic table area. The cabin was really cozy and private, while still being close to trails and a pretty well stocked grocery if you forgot something on the way.

Jo-El Tree Farm

We are a one hundred year old family owned farm with an organic garden, Permaculture garden, an apiary, and Christmas trees on six acres. We have horseshoes, tether ball, and disc golf. Early spring the frogs go crazy later followed by the sounds of nesting birds. Fall is the season for migrating birds that rest at the ponds next door. August is the time to fill up on blackberries. There are individual campsites with a barbecue and picnic table and a shared fire pit. The fire pit didn't see much use last two years because of the fire danger so we'll have an area at each campsite if you want to bring a propane fire ring (or we will have some for rent). I want to thank past campers for their suggestions, they have been tremendously valuable. We are becoming increasingly suburban and there is some road noise that can be heard and even with farms on three sides of us, you still might hear our neighbors in the distance. Campsites one and four are across the road from each other and campsites two and three are adjacent to each other, perfect if you have another family traveling with you. The Washington State Fair is 3.9 miles/ 13 minutes away, Tacoma Dome 7.5 miles/ 18 minutes, Point Defiance Park Zoo and Aquarium 19 miles/ 30 minutes and Wild Waves water park is 15 miles/ 26 minutes away. Eagles, hawks and Ospreys are frequent visitors to our property.

Eight minutes off Highway 18 lies 11 acres of mostly undeveloped land. Dean's is a beautiful, bare-bones place to rest between national parks, before or after crossing the US / CA border, or to set up base camp to explore Seattle / Tacoma. Our main driveway is CLOSED this year for repairs. We have alternate arrival instructions for you after you book. These instructions add about 7 minutes (totaling 8 minutes) from Highway 18 to the campground. Our location is convenient. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. Our distant neighbors occasionally indulge in target shooting. This doesn't last long. Please call us immediately with any concerns. We have a brand new neighborhood in construction on one of our property lines. Heavy machinery is in use around 8 am and usually finished by dinner time. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. We ban fires during the peak of summer to avoid the issue of wildfires entirely. Propane stoves are welcome. We do not have a check in cut-off time tho reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. With that being said, the 40+ year old trees and distance between the campsites provides space for you to bring and create your own vibes. Hosts should only approach you with safety or quiet hour concerns. They are available 24 / 7 for any questions or requests you may have. This camp site is very private and peaceful! We will be open from May 1st through September 30, 2025. We have a 3 night maximum stay per booking. Visit Vashon Island and relax on this private estate property. Camp near the bluff, overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of secluded beach. You can camp in the field by the bluff, or in the forest on either side of the driveway. The island boasts great coffee hangouts, galleries, wineries, restaurants (Earthen, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant), Snapdragon and others. Minglement, the Burton Coffee Stand, and Cafe Olio Vino have great coffee. Thriftway is a great grocery store. The Burton Store is worth a visit if you are coming from the Tacoma/Pt. Defiance ferry as you will pass it on your way to the property. There a galleries, shops and restaurants in the town of Vashon and also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest. Bikes, E-bikes, paddle boards and kayaks can be rented from Vashon Adventures and Vashon Bikes.They also rent tents and some camping equipment. Outdoor fires are by permission only. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. Generally, fires are allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.) Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful! Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people - there currently is no way to do that on the site?! There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate. If for some reason hipcamp doesn't automatically add in this charge, so we will request it separately. It must be paid in full prior to arrival. There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am. There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed. DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. We reccomend you bring a flash light, extension chord for power, and possibly a snow shovel to get into the driveway. Well behaved pets that you clean up after are allowed if disclosed at check in. Note the back of our property is not fenced. *No smoking or illegal drugs at all. *No parties or entertaining. Bring a flash light as it can be very dark and a snow shovel during snow season. Our road usually gets plowed at some point but not the driveway - you may need to shovel show to get into the driveway and open the gate. Paved road 1 away from the South Fork Skykomish River. About a quarter mile away from the Highway and railroad - you can hear the train in the distance but it is not right close to you like many others in this area. NOTE: The trailer kept on sight is not available. There are 2-3 piles of wood and building materials - perhaps covered with a tarp - please leave those alone. Roof to be completed soon. You are welcome to use the outdoor room and chairs, and gas grill (But will need to bring propane) We reserve the right to check the property and trailer at any time.
