2 nights at North Eagle Haven @ Mount Baker

The place and views were amazing. Very nice and calm off a road with barely any traffic and the river across it. The parking area was leveled and easy to park, Power and water hook ups. We had our camper van and didn't get to use the small cabin bit it was so cozy in there. Probably my favorite was the sauna wood cabin with burning fire. Sooo relaxing. Great hiking areas just off the property and withing a 10 minute drive. As for our host- Heather has got to be one of the coolest people and most active people we've ever met. Very helpful and friendly, tentative to your needs. Nice little touches to boost your experience you'll get to enjoy when staying there. Again, Thank you Heather!!!

5 nights at Green Acre Camp

Green Acres was a solid, no frills landing spot for exploring Port Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula. Having electrical hookup was great for charging devices, though cell service was pretty spotty/nonexistent for me (AT&T). Just a heads up for those who may want to unwind with a movie or something after a day of exploring, be sure to download to your device first if you have AT&T! No toilet so pack in/out but the picnic table was super handy. Property is lovely, there's a nice firepit in the back area that feels more secluded than the parking spot. All in all, I would stay again!

We loved staying on Laurie’s land. Laurie was amazing and gave us an awesome tour of the property where we saw the most adorable little goats! Would absolutely recommend staying here on this beautiful property!

This was our second time stopping by this little oasis. It’s unassuming, has everything you need, and nothing you don’t (so long as you bring your plumbing with you). It’s our favorite basecamp on the strait and perfect for day trips.

A peaceful camping spot. Quiet and well-kept. I woke to see a horse looking over at me from the paddock next door. Make sure to say hi to the goats. Angie was an excellent host.

Come with your RV and camp on my property. It is a rural/farm area but very close to the cute town of Poulsbo. Relax with a pastureland view of big valley. Water and electricity are available (but no sewage). Big Valley is a popular biking area and there are some really nice hiking trails nearby. Killer frisbee golf course across the street. New for 2024 is a gazebo with outdoor furniture and a propane fireplace. And a new picnic table located adjacent to the RV pad. In 2023 I installed a mesh WiFi system that gets good coverage at the site. Kick back and watch a movie on your laptop. Connection information is on the electric outlet adjacent to the site. In 2022 I had a gravel pad installed. I mention it as some of the older photos show folks needing levelers. Not the case anymore. I happily rent my pasture to J and W who come by in the morning and/or evening to check in on them. They have goats, alpacas, and piggies staying in my pasture. Our property has very nice views of Puget Sound/Hood Canal where cruise ships, cargo ships, and naval vessels often pass. On a clear day, you will see Mount Baker. Enjoy the private community beach (with picnic area) and boat ramp (for smaller vessels) less than 1/4 mile away. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars to watch for sea lions, seals and Orcas (sometimes) The eastern part of the Olympic Peninsula has loads of great trails in the Olympic National Park (only 35 minutes away). There are also many local trails in Port Ludlow less than 10 minutes away. Easy access to Sequim, John Wayne Marina (with larger boat launch), Port Angeles and Port Townsend as well as the Olympic Discovery Trail. Optional: order the "BIG FIREWOOD BUNDLE" for only $8 each after confirming your reservation. Notes: • There are two homes and a vacation property nearby, but privacy is maintained. • The main access (Paradise Bay Road) is about 75 feet away from the campsite and can be busy with traffic at times. • The turning radius from Paradise Bay Road onto Yew Street is tight, so that’s why we have a 35’ foot maximum on the RV. • We are always seeking to improve the campsite and your experience, so please feel free to make suggestions. Good 'Dose' of Relaxation

Property nestled above the Dosewallips River with tremendous views of Mt. Jupiter Ridge and the Dosewallips River. You will find numerous hikes in the Olympic National Forest within a short drive, a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole within 5 minutes, parks, Whitney Garden & Nursery, boat launches, crabbing, clamming & oyster digging, wildlife watching, enjoying the Hood Canal, and much more! Or, just sit back and relax in tranquility, as the property sits at the end of a cul de sac just before entering national forest land. Be sure to leash your pets and keep a good eye, as there are wildcats, coyotes, and bears in the area. Learn more about this land: Pull your RV or trailer onto this lot and take in the beautiful southwestern view of Mt. Jupiter ridge and a peek-a-boo view of the Dosewallips River! Listen closely, and you will hear the sounds of the river below. The lot is equipped with power and water hookups! Please be aware the water hookup is near the main gate entrance and the power is about 40 feet apart, so you may need a long hose (see pic). Enjoy the view from the large deck, firepit, or picnic table overlooking the river, valley, and mountains. This lot is truly a little slice of heaven! Within a few minutes, find yourself at Rocky Brook falls (see pics) for a spectacular view and even a swim if you so please! Pleasant Harbor Marina (also shown in pics) also within 10 minutes! You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint. While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare. There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

End of the road. Start of an epic camping weekend. River to the side, Cascade foothill surround. Each site has river access except for lookers left which is not accessible due to the steep grade. All the siteshave nice sand for kids to play in. Close to the north cascades. Minutes from live music, bars and quality mexican restaurant. Rails to trail for bikes and walking. Tward the end of july the river starts to recede opening up more possibilities of having interaction with the river. That being said its crucial you keep an eye out on your kids. We had a guy out here who almost killed his kids multiple times underestimating the current. Watch out!!Kinda going for the peaceful, listen to the river and birds, vibe. Would rather there be no music and if there is then super low and off by 7. Sauna available after 3pm

The entire property is listed as a single camp site, so there is maximum privacy and solitude compared to a multi-site venue like Ft Worden State Park. Green Acre Camp is located in a semi-residential, semi-rural area of unincorporated Port Townsend, only 10-15 min drive to main restaurants, grocery stores, and attractions of downtown Port Townsend. Plenty of flat space for tent camping, running well water, and RV power pedestal with 30a, 50a, and standard 20a/120v plugs. Pack-in, Pack-out; there is no toilet, sink, or shower. Enter the property on private dirt road connected to Hastings Ave and you may park anywhere in the upper field immediately on left when you enter the driveway. There is a locked shed that houses the well pump, and you can use the water spigot and hose. Water is potable but recommend using a filter for any drinking water in case there is sediment from the well. RV power pedestal is just past the shed and there is space for vehicle parking or tent setup near the electricity. Property is shaped like a right triangle with Hastings Ave , a local 2-lane loop road that is 40mph, as the hypotenuse. There is tree cover along Hastings and shared driveway at bottom edge of the triangle. As you continue down the driveway a few hundred yards, you approach neighbor's fence and property line. This corner makes the right angle of the triangle and the property line runs straight left until it connects back to Hastings Ave. Main camp site is the “upper field” where there is room for parking and the power/water connections. This is conveniently level with the main road and power/water connections are about 50 yards from Hastings and the driveway in the southwest corner. There is “lower field” that is a trimmed grass field right corner next to the dirt road on the southeast corner of the land. Finally there is the “back field” where there is large, grass field and a fire ring across the northern half of the property. The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field. In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population. Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

At first we just wanted a garden but the deer ate the blueberries so we planted pumpkins. They were a success, in fact one year we gave a pumpkin to each Beach School kindergartner. Later on we decided to set it up as with RV hook ups for our friends and that is how we got to where we are now. We love to share Lummi Island, it is a special place. Park your camping trailer or RV, water, electricity, both 110 and 30 amp service, sewer (septic hook up) are ready for you. We have a propane campfire for evening campfires but you will need to hook up your propane to it. Once you're set up, start exploring. The beach, blizzard trail, ride your bike, bring your kayak or just sit back and take in views all the way to Canada. Lummi Island does have a grocery store, near the ferry landing, but, best to stock your meals from home as the store has limited supplies. There is only one restaurant on Lummi Island the Beach Store Cafe, moderate prices but only open Thursday thru Sunday. We now have decent wifi you can use, so option to come and work remotely! (Unfortunately we don't have tons of space for kids or dogs to run around, but definitely plenty of nice grassy area to set up tents, yard games and a campfire). Our site includes wifi, picnic table, and potable water. Campfires (outside of a burn ban) and pets permitted! However we do have free-roaming chickens (ask us about fresh eggs!) so leashed up or chicken-friendly dogs please. Guests love staying here: "Gorgeous spot to sit, relax and take in the sunset across the farm fields before tucking in. We visited for one night with a 10.5’ tall camper van rented from Cabana, which fit easily under the shelter with plenty of clearance. The shelter itself is a great spot to get outside and eat a meal, and the rocking chairs in the yard were chill too! An occasional loud truck will go by on the nearby road, but not bad. We slept fine. Walk to Finnriver Cidery for dinner (yum)"
