In-Tents Camping is located in Jefferson surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest on a large parcel of farmland. Our property consists of fields, woods and a mountain cold stream. We are at the foot of Starr King Mountain trail, one of the many 4000' trails in the White Mountains.
A HIKERS PARADISE! This is the perfect spot to camp if you're looking to hike Mount Washington or explore the many trails close to the property. PLEASE make sure you come prepared with the proper camping gear! You MUST bring a tent or RV for camping. Our campground is suitable for nature lovers or outdoor enthusiasts. We take incredible care of our land - it is not suitable for parties!
PLEASE NOTE, we prefer arrivals before 9 pm, so please communicate what time you will be arriving with us beforehand :)
We purchased this farm over a decade ago. Mike being a lifetime resident of Jefferson is very familiar with the local surroundings and attractions, we take pride in our community. We enjoy farming and gardening. We are blessed to have the opportunity to share this beautiful land with others that will hopefully enjoy it as much as we do. We are always working to enhance the property for a better camping experience.

Welcome to the Campsites at CoHo: Conway Hostel!
Camping here at the hostel is a great option for those who are looking for the economic price point and rugged nature of camping, while still having the amenities of modern living.
"What should I expect my experience to be like?"
Being a hostel, the experience we offer is a community focused one. Sites are setup similar to rooms in the hostel. They are located in fairly close proximity to one another and feature (in addition to private fire pits in the sites) one large community fire ring at the center of the property.
Parking and camping are located at the rear of the Hostel property. Out back features several campsites, a community fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Parking is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of street parking available along Washington St (Summertime street parking. In winter, town hall may be used as overflow parking.).
Amenities:
For Sites 1-4, the hostel is yours to access. Use the back porch and side entrances (Access code will be given to you during check-in). Inside you’ll find… Full community kitchen, bathrooms/hot showers, dining area, and lounge area.
For Primitive Sites, there is a shared picnic table, fire pit, and porta-john available
Dorm style bathroom facilities on the second floor have two toilets and shower stalls each.
Basic breakfast items are included with stay as well (coffee, tea, yogurt, granola bars, cereal, and oatmeal)

Back on the farm, our swimming holes, hammocks, and communal fire pit offer peace and community connection after a full day of outdoor adventures.

The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. You will be cool and comfortable, and If you enjoy glamping this beautiful cabin is the place for you! Overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river. The cabin is ready for you to come and relax!
This cabin sleeps two people and the property is such a peaceful spot!
We have a rustic outhouse and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. Reasonable requests for other times always considered.
The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave and A/C. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! Enjoy a cup of coffee from the Keurig machine in the mornings. Bottled water is included as well.
We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you.
We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time.
So with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first! Listen to the birds and relax! And if luck is with you, you might spot a bald eagle!

Welcome to The Wolf Swamp!

The property used to be part of the old Johanson farm, it was a 200 acre dairy farm a hundred years ago. when the State put in the highway (I-93) in 1961 it split the farmland in half. So now there are a hundred acres on each side of the Highway.
The old stagecoach road which runs through the property from Canterbury Station to Northfield Station is now part of the main trails system.
The early Pony Express riders dubbed the swamp on the land "Wolf Swamp", because there were many reports of riders seeing Wolves in the Swamp.
The property is very open, although the sites are very spread out and secluded
for ultimate privacy. There are several great hiking trails on the property, also used by local mountain bikers and Horseback Riding. Occasionally there will be
an ATV or Dirt Bike passing through. We are located in the Heart of the local Trail system.
There are several great places to swim and Kayak or Canoe literally around the
corner. There are also lots of great local attractions close by, many that have
Farm Stores, Shops, Homemade Gifts, Breads, Pies, Cheeses and we even have a few local Breweries. There is something for everyone, just ask and we will

Camp Ebb and Flow is located on the western edge of the White Mountains, near the crossing of the Appalachian Trail and a short drive to VT. Three lakes nearby for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. There is an "outhouse" with a flush toilet and over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat.
This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times.
It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill.

We are close to interesting activities, such as the White River National Fish Hatchery, Billings Farm, the Queechee Balloon festival, and more. Near by farm stands sell fresh organic produce, eggs, grass fed meats, homemade food products and crafts.
What is there to eat and drink?
Nearby restaurants include The Barnard Inn, Cloudland, Toziers, Tessi’s Tavern, Locust Creek Diner, The Bethel Sandwich Shop, Cockadoodle and Village Pizza. Babe’s Bar in Bethel offers amazing creative cocktails in an old railway station.
In the village of South Royalton 12 miles away is our local Co-op. There you can access lots of healthy food choices, many locally sourced and lots of drinks, it's our go to market.
Three miles up Route 12 is the Barnard General Store and gas station they have just about everything a camper could want. They stock ice, fresh baked goodies, fruit and vegetables, prepared foods and many locally produced delights such as ice cream, kombucha and fresh baked goods. Their meat case features, sausages, thick pork chops, fresh air chilled chicken, local grass fed beef and they always have fresh Farro Island salmon. They also offer wine, beer and ciders.
A mile away on 107 is the Locust Creek General Store and gas station, they uniquely offer block ice, diesel and kerosene, drinks, simple fresh sandwiches, many frozen foods and lots of newspapers.
We have generous amounts of firewood available onsite for sale.
