This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane. The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping. Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have! We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings. Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. Vehicles will most likely not be permitted on the grass itself with rare exceptions.

"Quiet time" is difficult to put limits on because we have no control over when harvest for local crops needs to occur. Please be aware that farm machinery may be harvesting late into the night or start very early in the morning. For the summer of 2024 we have potatoes, mustard, corn and alfalfa in the surrounding fields. Local attractions include: Wild Horse Monument & Gingko Petrified Forest are about 15 miles west on I90. Visitors have a chance to shop our Farm Store, visit with the animals, do Goat Yoga, explore the farm and gardens with a self guided walking tour and scavenger hunt, and attend our seasonal events and workshops. We are in the middle of the Coulee Corridor with desert hiking, the Columbia River, and several lakes nearby. We are 5 miles from Soap Lake, where you can enjoy the healing waters and dine at Cloudview Kitchen. There are also amazing small shops and restaurants to enjoy in Ephrata just a couple miles away.

Ricks Exercise Farm

Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The physical address is 3510 Scoon Road Sunnyside, Washington. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Several microbreweries are also accessible and within 50 miles to the west you’ll be in premier hiking in the Cascades. Note for the balance of year 2024: We have lost our pressurized water supply at the site. We will be installing a new supply line in Spring 2025. Please fill your fresh water tank before arrival at the site. If you can give me advance notice I’ll arrange for an alternate water supply to fill your tank upon arrival. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and estimate that the situation will be resolved next year. Thank you for your patronage and safe travels and happy camping.

Interesting fact: Our homestead is located on the McConihe Flats. 1200 years ago the Sinkiuse Indians would meet on the McConihe Flats and trade. They would also collect things along the shore of the lake such, as duck eggs and reeds, which are still around today. We are conveniently located between Moses Lake and Ephrata Washington. Only 12 minutes from either town where you can find Walmart, other stores, and resturants for all your needs.
