We are a family-owned RV park and tiny home village located 50 minutes from the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and only 20 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Our family -- Adam, Shelley, Zoe, Ava, and Cairo -- purchased the RV park in 2021. The property was a trading post for decades but had fallen into disrepair. We have been busy painting, cleaning and improving the grounds to become a comfortable oasis for your family. Our location on US Hwy 89 on the east side of the highway is only a few miles from the breathtaking aspens of Lockett Meadow, the ruins of Wupatki National Monument and the lava flows at Sunset Crater. The park is a short drive to downtown Flagstaff, and on the way to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Moab and Durango. Stay the night or as long as you like! Drink in the hibiscus sunrises above the Painted Desert and relax into the long shadows of the San Francisco Peaks. Let us know if you want to borrow a telescope to explore the darkest night sky you have ever seen! We are excited to share our home with you!

A Different Kind of Campground

As RV campgrounds go this one was a bit different. They have a laundry but no showers. They have a large kitchen and what seemed to be a room for projects and plants but I didn't find a bathroom for relieving yourself. However, it did have 50 am power (used my 50 to 30 dogbone). It was quiet and there was ample room to pull in. There was no camp manager on site, but ample text messages via the Hipcamp app provided the needed details. One standard msg suggested the need for a gate code but that does not apply at this campsite.

For an overnight stop it was very comfortable and convenient. It is close to many national parks/monuments so easy access to these areas. Shelly came and checked on things and made my stay very pleasant. Thank you!

TWO National Parks, AND stars!
6 m travel trailer ·
We knew this location offered a close proximity to the Grand Canyon, and make no mistake, it’s worth every penny. However, what we didn’t know is it’s equally close to another beautiful NP - Petrified Forest. This is a beautiful setting with brilliant colors in its landscape and wood. While at our camp, we enjoyed the seemingly endless supply of stars (you can borrow a telescope!). Sunrise/sunsets are also breathtaking. The hosts are extremely accommodating, as we had Amazon packages arrive ahead of us, which they stored. In short, we can’t say enough good things about this location!

Shelley’s spot was such a hidden gem, and she was such a lovely host! The spot felt very private amongst the tiny homes, and was in a great location within an hour to the Grand Canyon. We loved having access to the US Forest service road right outside of their property to walk our dog, it was so convenient. She was gracious enough to let us have some mail shipped there as well as get our laundry done. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a nice FHU spot!
