Peaceful and comfortable

Lauren was very thoughtful in making sure we found her place and had everything we needed. She didn't intrude but was prompt when we had a question. The land was nice and private and quiet, with lots of trees and views of the mountains. We enjoyed walking up the lane and going for a hike nearby. She made a map that showed us local hiking places you can't find online. The weather was beautiful, about 15 degrees cooler than the Verde Valley where we live, and the drive there and back was beautiful. Please be aware that there is no paved road access to Young, AZ, but the road from near Payson is well maintained. There's some washboard but no difficult terrain.
The Airstream trailer was very cute, the bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of cooking accessories, tea, coffee, etc. Opening the windows at night gave us nice cool fresh air, and there' a split that efficient and quiet. One of the best features is the large covered patio. We did yoga out there and spent lots of time relaxing in the Adirondack chairs. Lauren has also added a fire table, a hammock, and best of all an outdoor shower and bathtub. Nothing like soaking in a bath and looking up at the trees!
Young is tiny and you can't count on any restaurants being open, so be sure to bring all the food you need especially during the week. Next time we hope to check out the winery that's open I think Friday through Sunday.
Our Shi-Tzu loved it too!
