Best in California: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
We are a family owned/operated ranch, located along the Cosumnes River, one of the last un-dammed rivers in California.
As one of the last rivers flowing from the west slope of the Sierra without a major dam, the Cosumnes is a vital example of a healthy watershed.
Our goal is to offer a unique outdoor experience for anyone looking for a place to spend time in the great outdoors.
Whether you're looking for a single campsite, or a place for a larger gathering, we're excited to have you visit!
Take your pick of activities available on site: swimming , gold panning, fishing, camp fires, wildlife watching, floating, hiking, and mountain biking to name a few. There are 3 miles of river to explore.
Private and noise free. Porta potties on site.
One of the best camping spots we’ve ever been to! It wasn’t busy when we went but each campsite has a decent amount of privacy. The owner so kind and informative! He even set up our fishing pole and educated us on the river and the lands history. Will definitely be returning! New favorite spot!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this campsite! The location was beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained. The amenities provided were excellent, and the overall vibe made it the perfect spot to relax and unwind in nature. The host was welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. I can’t wait to come back soon! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great outdoor experience!
Absolutely loved this site and can't wait to visit again. The trees surrounding our camp area made it feel very private and quiet. (Although I don't think we had any neighbors at the closest site, so I can't speak to people noise definitively.) The access to the river was easy and perfect for wading on a very hot day. The porta potty was very clean and well stocked. I just wish we stayed for more than 1 night to enjoy it even more. Can't recommend enough.
Camped a single night at site 18 and absolutely loved it. The site was super private and the camp overall is really beautiful. Super easy access to a really chill river, which was so nice to wade around in since it was so hot outside. My site was pretty much fully shaded when I arrived at 3pm, but it did get full sunlight in the morning which I personally really liked. I'm almost hesitant to say nice things about this place because I don't want to have to compete with other people booking it, but it truly is a gem and I would happily camp here again.
