Site 10 - Rowan's Camp
It was great to be right alongside the river. We had fun swimming and fishing. Would have been perfect if we could have a fire but we understand there is a current fire ban.

Site 8 - Rowan's Camp
We loved it! The property is beautiful and very well maintained. There are porta-potties for almost every campsite that are very clean—they even have seat covers. We will definitely be back.

Site 16 - The Overlook
Love this hipcamp so much. This site is great, shade, set apart but still close to the bathroom, and a quick walk down to the water. Tom and Rachael are so nice, and all the other campers were super friendly.

Site 21 Turtle Rock
Perfect waterfront spot
The photos of site 21 don’t do it justice. It’s beautiful. The first night there we saw deer, hawks, geese, ducks, jumping fish, and even a beaver family toting branches up river for their dam. Loads of fun on the water without needing to load up and leave camp.
Be sure to have a plan for your trash, as there is no place to dump it (though they will come by and pick up recycling).
Have Tom give you the lay of the land, along with some history of the area…pretty cool.
Fire ban came early this year, so we brought a propane pit. The Ace Hardware in Plymouth has a refiller…the Pokerville Market has all the essentials, but nothing too fancy.
Would definitely return.

Site 3 - Sawyer's Bar
Spectacular
My first Hipcamp experience at Cosumnes River Ranch set a very high bar. Gorgeous, large campsite with shade right on the river. Our dog and kids frolicked all over and we slept soundly with our tent on the soft sand under the tree. Not a lick of noise all night except crickets and the river and the odd owl. Or two. We will be back.
