Best in California: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
We are a family owned/operated ranch, located along the Cosumnes River, one of the last un-dammed rivers in California. As one of the last rivers flowing from the west slope of the Sierra without a major dam, the Cosumnes is a vital example of a healthy watershed. Our goal is to offer a unique outdoor experience for anyone looking for a place to spend time in the great outdoors. Whether you're looking for a single campsite, or a place for a larger gathering, we're excited to have you visit! Take your pick of activities available on site: swimming , gold panning, fishing, camp fires, wildlife watching, floating, hiking, and mountain biking to name a few. There are 3 miles of river to explore. *Please note: We don't allow wood campfires during the summer months (generally the last week of May through September)*

Absolutely loved our stay at the Ranch! This campground was phenomenal — a beautiful, peaceful ranch setting with stunning scenery in every direction. The river was freezing but so refreshing, and it added to the charm of the whole experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our camping trip and felt completely immersed in nature. Can’t wait to come back again — highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic and serene getaway!

AMERSIAN CAMPERS
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful campground nestled next to the Cosumnes River, and it was such a peaceful and refreshing experience. The site was spacious and serene, with the soothing sound of the river flowing by—it truly felt like nature's own sleeping pill. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right from the start. Just a heads-up: the road from the entrance gate to the actual Hipcamp sites is about 20 minutes on an unpaved road, so plan accordingly. Some campsites are located right by the river, offering a magical experience, while others are up the hill. Even then, a few of the hilltop spots still offer beautiful views of the river. One important thing to note—there are no trash bins on-site, so be sure to pack out everything you bring in. Leave no trace! If you're curious to see more, we’re sharing our full glamping experience on our YouTube channel: AMERSIAN CAMPERS. Our Cosumnes River video will be released soon—stay tuned!

We had an amazing time. The camp was spacious and private. We hiked around the ranch this time and enjoyed each part of this special property.

Really wonderful time with our pups

This was a great place for a low key camping trip! The host was so considerate when our original campsite was too muddy from recent rains. Rachael notified us ahead of time and got us into another campsite close by. The bathroom amenities were really well maintained and it was a really nice perk. Our pups had a really nice time too. Overall, we loved our time there and will absolutely be back again!
