Five minutes from the beach, Elkhorn Ranch is home to goats, sheep, wild chickens followed by their baby chicks, and a couple of cows, dogs, and sheep. In addition to the animals there is a greenhouse and an acre of pumpkins, corn, and beans. A small fruit orchard borders the chicken coop. Anybody who enjoys small farm life and activity will find this place enchanting. Norris and Roberta are incredible hosts and inclusive to any guests that want to participate in farm life. Close to restaurants and the cute harbor town of Moss Landing, 30 minutes from Carmel and Santa Cruz, Elkhorn Ranch can be a place to relax or a gateway to explore Big Sur and all the amazing hidden gems of the Central California Coast.Pros - Lovely community. Great for kids. Lively when wanted, chill when wanted. Magical Oak forest. Open field for playing. Close to everything. Note - There is a large power station at Moss Landing, about five miles away. The high tension wires border the property. Some people think they are ugly. I think they are kind of cool. If you look down the line of sight, they lead to the power station and you can see all the lined radiating from the power station to serve power to the people of Monterey County.Check in and check out are flexible. However we ask that you are checked in by 7 pm as we are a working farm. Due to camping in the oak grove there are no camp fires at the campsites. However there is a fire pit with wood available in the common area to enjoy or cook on.

Camp with Goats!
Serenity with farm animals!
Great location, accommodations and the family and farm animals were a pleasure to be around! Very quite quaint property, with multiple camp sites. All campers were pleasant and had no issues whatsoever. Great way to escape the city and hotter weather! We will definitely return to this site!

BEAUTIFUL, FUN, ACTIVE, CLEAN, A+++
WOW! We came for the goats and sunsets. Got all of that, much more, and left with some amazing new friends. Great group and community here and definitely look forward to our next visit!

Camping with goats!
We had a great time tent camping on Norris and Roberta's land! The views were beautiful, and they were super friendly hosts. We had a great time feeding the farm animals too! I would highly recommend staying here as it's an easy drive into Monterey Bay and Big Sur State Park.

Camp with Goats!
A great site for animal lovers!
We had such a great time on this animal-packed farm- hanging with baby goats, a couple big farm dogs and the friendliest farm cat. The oak grove was a beautiful place to camp and we enjoyed the fire pits that Norris & Roberta maintained the whole evening. We’d love to come back!

Camp with Goats!
Camping with Goats is a HIT!
This was an amazing camping experience! We stayed two nights as part of a leisurely weekend camping trip while kayaking the Elkhorn Reserve. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, the grounds were lovely, and we were treated to some baby goats that we got to visit during our stay. Everyone in our group loved it and we're already talking about when we can go back.

Good stay
It was a good place to stay for one day. Roberta and Norris were welcoming. There were joyful children playing with sweet goats.
