Great birding and gravel biking!
Loved the bird activity from Union Reservoir - so peaceful!! We were in the East “Back-In” Site, but arrived at 4pm in late July and pulled our van in forward to get some relief from the sun. It was perfect! Might have needed an extension cord for the 30amp power if we were pulling a trailer (due to pulling in instead of backing in), but had no problem in the van. Got some shade in the afternoon/evening and created a little privacy between us and the West site, which was @ 25 feet away. Did some gravel biking from the site on the surrounding county roads and (with a little work) made our way over to the St. Vrain Greenway. G and T’s Farm backs up to the land adjacent to the reservoir, so feels very wide-open, even though you’re camped at the end of a neighborhood street. We had no idea what to expect when we booked it (they just started Hipcamping this year - not many reviews) and were pleasantly surprised. They have a great set-up. Felt separated from the house, even though it wasn’t far away. And they were great hosts - even offered us mosquito repellant! It was a great weekend get-away.
