We are a working aquaponics farm, located in Marion Co Georgia. From maps it shows that we are about 13 miles straight line distance from Columbus Georgia. That would be true if you could drive through Fort Moore, which you can't so in reality we are actually about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. Luckily if you want to experience some of the activities there, the drive is pleasant with very little traffic. Our rush hour consists on average of about 20 cars until you get back in closer to the city. Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm/general store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, wifi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore. Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below). Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up. Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times. Due to wildlife and our own animals present, we can not allow dogs to roam freely. Even the best pooch can react uncharacteristically to baby goats, not to mention crazy chickens. Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site. Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property. We love to give tours and welcome you to explore. We also for full transparency mention we are a working farm, so roosters, tractors, and other chores start early. We however do not make noise up by your site until much later in the morning. We want you to sleep soundly and peacefully.Welcome to our working aquaponics farm. We have a level spot in front of our farm store area, that offers a dry dock for restful camping. Coyotes, deer, bobcats, and wild boars roam our woods. There are trails to hike, and farm animals to visit on request. Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times. Due to wildlife and our own animals present, we can not allow dogs to roam freely. Even the best pooch can react uncharacteristically to baby goats, not to mention crazy chickens.  Bathrooms - 2 bathrooms one with a full shower are located right next to your spot. These are shared with other campers. Campfires - are welcome at your site. Close By - Columbus, Americus, Providence Canyon, Pasaquan,  President Carter's child hood home, President Carter Compound, Hot coffee and great breakfast at the Coffee Club. Plus more.  We love to give tours and welcome you to explore. For full transparency we mention we are a working farm, so roosters, tractors, and other chores start early. We make every effort to keep noise up by your site very minimal, until much later in the morning. We want you to sleep soundly and peacefully.

A quiet, private campsite right along the road. Plenty of space with nice amenities. We would definitely recommend it and would return again.

We enjoyed our stay at Blackbird Farm! It was peaceful and the kids loved running around and playing with the goats who visited us each day. Jeff was very friendly and showed us around. We enjoyed exploring the property as well as taking a trip to Providence Canyon which wasn’t too far. Thank you for a great stay!

Lots to Enjoy at Blackbird Farm!
Tent
Camping at Blackbird Farm was lovely! Late October was such a great time to visit with the autumn leaves falling + acorns, and pinecones scattered about! When we arrived, there was a goofy group of goats passing through too! Plus, the working restroom/shower, wifi, and property location was really convenient for our trip. Lots to enjoy, and the hosts were kind!

Privacy was the best part!
Tent
Sweet little stopover on our way to the Panhandle. Plenty of room to park our truck and skiff. Wifi worked well. Enjoyed hearing the coyotes as we turned in for the night. Woke up to chilly temps but there was a gorgeous full moon and we had another campfire to drink coffee by before heading out. The only thing that could be improved upon would be the bathrooms, which needed a bit of maintenance …they had lightbulbs out, and the one with the shower could use a shelf and a hook for setting belongings on. But we were very happy to have bathrooms with hot water all the same! We felt safe here and loved having the place to ourselves.

Had the good fortune to be camping solo. Beautiful property and surroundings. Actually never heard anything from the farming operation. Very peaceful.
