Glamping at its Best
Angel is a very welcoming and accommodating host, The place is 1 hour from Hilo and set in a magical tropical environment where you instantly feel removed from day to day living. Close to a picturesque beach and coastline, and a great location for visiting all attractions. We recommend you shop for daily necessities in Hilo before arriving. We loved our stay, the accommodation is wonderful and will appeal to anyone who wants a glamping experience. Thank you Angel.

Open air glamping
This place was an amazing for my wife and I. It’s a very nice connection between the indoor and outdoor life in that area, protected from the elements, yet still open and airy. Angel was such a pleasure to hang out with. She was informative, interesting and fun. I’d definitely stay there again.

Perfect for Nature-Loving Honeymoon
I cannot overstate how much my husband and I enjoyed staying here. Angel and her beautiful home truly made our trip to the Big Island more awesome, romantic, and unique than I ever hoped for. We had some fun conversations and drinks with Angel, who made some great recommendations for activities in the area that only the locals know about, and her cooking is sublime!! If you really want to stay somewhere out of the big city and really get a chance to FEEL and EXPERIENCE Hawaii, then it would be a mistake to stay anywhere other than Shangri-La. I can’t thank Angel enough for the most incredible glamping experience of my life.

A Peaceful Retreat Away from Crowds
What a lovely, peaceful place! Our host, Angel, was friendly and super-helpful. And the backyard jungle was a tropical paradise we couldn't take out eyes off of. A quick drive to black sand beaches and hot springs at Isaac Hale Park. Even close enough to enjoy a full day in Hilo with some snorkeling at Richardson Ocean Park. The kitchen also had everything we needed to make meals and jumpstart the day or just lounge around and chat. Would definitely recommend!
