Sleep out under the stars. This farm has multiple spots to either rest in your vehicle or put up your tent to rest from you . There is a porta potty that is cleaned weekly, a sink with county water for drinking and refilling water for your vacation. Outside cold water shower. As well as a fire pit area. This is a basic place to have as Basecamp whilen Maui. Feel free to ask, and I will assist in any way I can to make your stay special. This is not a typical professional commercial camping area. This is my empty lot that I am slowly attempting to turning into a garden/Farm. Currently i have ducks and chickens and starting planter beds. I also do work trade if you are looking to stay longer. Thank you!🤙🏽 The GPS map provided isn't updates from the app. Contact me and I can give better directions.Open off grid spot in the middle of town. Sleep out under the stars. Good location, fun but loud animals
16 ft car · With kids
Though we never met the host in person (we arrived late and left early), he was very communicative and made sure we found the site and got settled in. We were grateful for a clean Port-A-Potty and were surprised to find a sink with running water and a functional shower (we didn't use it, but good to know it's there). Our challenges were 1) the huge number of flying bugs that swarmed our van while we were trying to unpack and set up camp in the dark with the interior lights on (not much that can be done about that, but posting for awareness - don't leave the vehicle or tent door open when the light is on), 2) a rooster crowed through much of the night, making it difficult to get a solid night's sleep, and 3) there was a wood palette on the side of our site that we didn't see at night and tripped on. In the morning, we moved the palette out of the way and uncovered an anthill, so clearly it hadn't been moved in a while. For the price, we were happy with what we got, and seeing the animals in the morning was a treat. Just wish the rooster had waited until maybe 5 or 6 to start crowing!

This campsite was a great location in the town. There was plenty of space and had a working shower. The animals on the property were quite all night.

Felt unsafe
16 ft car
We booked same day and were never able to get a hold of the host. Arrived and saw abandoned cars and random individuals wandering around as well as shooting up and using. Would strongly advise to keep you and your loved ones away from this spot.

Cheap
18 ft campervan
Interesting and cheap when all the campsites are full. Camping Pihana is certainly not a campsite to spend your holidays in Maui. Indeed, spend your holidays in front of a pig and chicken pen and in a place that looks a little like a capharnaüm nest not an ideal setting for a holiday. However, beyond the first negative impression that the campsite leaves, it is well located in relation to Kahului and can therefore be very useful as a step before or after visiting Maui. We did not see the owner who is difficult to contact (no answer on the phone).

8 ft campervan
For the price and the area, it's not bad. It has the basics and you sleep peacefully.

Amazing view in the middel f
16 ft car
The campground is located very centrally in Wailuku, yet surprisingly, it sits on a green field near many cafés, restaurants, and small shops. The view in the morning is incredible. There are also some farm animals on the property, which actually enhanced the camping experience for me. I never met the landlord in person, but he was honestly very helpful via messages. This place is in the middle of the island and is perfect for a night or two, whether you're sleeping in a car or a tent.
