You can see Canada!
Group trip
There are so many great things to mention! We camped in tents right near the river, right accross from Canada! The drive from Spokane was about 3 hours and was very beautiful. The host Wendy was very pleasant and welcoming! And so were the other fellow campers!
I really appreciated that this place was dog friendly because we don't like leaving ours behind. The campsites are all level and grassy, so it is great for kids and pets and to play camping games in.
Since this is a review, I would also like to mention some less than ideal things as well. To start, you don't have direct water access from your campsite unless you want to walk down a steep, grassy, rocky hill. The water access was an old boat launch with sharp cement and old wires and rebarb. You have to walk a good distance to it, along with the bathroom. Not the easiest thing to do with kids and dogs, but we made the most of it. Now the kicker here was the wind. I didn't read anything about it anywhere, but Wendy did mention when we arrived, it can pull your tent out of the ground and let us borrow some longer tent stakes. Now, that wind storm was the most terrible experience with my 2 year old. A huge tree branch fell and hit our truck while we were inside of it. Luckily no one was hurt, but it caused us to leave a day early. We would definitely do it again, however we would bring a camping trailer next time, not a tent.
