The campsite provides a welcoming and peaceful retreat with its spacious layout and proximity to key locations like Des Moines and Ames. Many reviews highlight the accommodating host, Robin, who ensures guests feel at home with thoughtful touches like leaving lights on for late arrivals. The site offers convenient amenities such as electrical hookups, a fridge, and even complimentary firewood and s'mores kits, which add to the overall camping experience. While some guests noted nearby construction, it generally did not detract from the enjoyment of a quiet and scenic stay.

Great place to stay.

Robin had mowed nice trails in a field, and I took my dog on several walks there. No one else was around, it was really nice. It's a nice clean farm and Robin greeted us when we arrived. We didn't have a 50 to 30 amp adapter, and he offered us one to use. Just a great place to camp and a nice, professional host.

Pups and I stayed on our way from Nebraska to Wisconsin. Super easy to find and convenient to laundromat and great grocery which we needed. Everything on site was very neat and well cared for. There was construction next door but it didn't bother us at all as there are also some lovely trails, great space for all to stretch their legs! Robin was attentive and we would stay again.

Nice spot with flexible parking options for different vehicles, right off the interstate & easy to find, Robin had just turned the lights on for us & said a quick hello as we were arriving after dark - great experience overall when we needed an overnight stay.

Great location! Very close to Ames and Des Moines. The camp site was very comfortable, and the amenities were fantastic, to have a place to store stuff if the weather got bad and a fridge was great. We tent camped, the ground was level and well groomed. The site is close to the road, and it was maybe a little busier than we would have liked, but it was quiet all night. Unfortunate that the area next door was a construction site, but we were there on a weekend and it was no bother. Thank you Robin for being a great host.
