Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Tender Field is located on a quiet rural road not far from town. It sits on 33 acres, 4 acres of field and the rest is wooded with a sweet small creek that leads to a series of beaver dams. At the end of the property you can get a distant view of Mt Washington. This is a new Hip Camp. Be there first to explore. There is a cleared trail with several nice camping spots. And if you want to explore more. Near by you can either visit a quaint town called Lisbon Falls which offers some lovely outdoor activities or go to Lewiston/Auburn and venture into the twin cities. There are some decent restaurants, a few pubs and Bates College has a great art museum and sweet outdoor waling garden area. There are also a few hiking trails to explore, Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary or Mt Apetite.Pitch your tent along the trail either close to the entrance of the trail or towards the creek that leads to the beaver pond. There are a series of beaver dams and lovely wildlife surrounding it. You can also follow the creek in another direction and find a cascading bubbling brook. The sites are relatively private surrounded by trees. The trail entrance is about a 3 minute walk to the main house. The wooded sites have fire pits and trash cans.

Perfect getaway while still in town
Tent
FYI the GPS address takes you down the first road; drive past the long driveway it takes you to and you'll find the house with a detached barn and garage just down the street. Rose Anne was very sweet. The path to the campsite is definitely a tight squeeze but doable, needed 4WD to get over some railroad ties serving as a bridge. The stream is all the way down the walking path beyond the campsite. Very cute, quaint, and quiet. Perfect getaway while not going to far out of town!

Really nice and quiet site. I solo camped and made a last minute reservation. I met Rose Ann in her from yard before heading down to the site. She was really nice and welcoming. I plan to stay there again with my daughter

Almost deep woods camping just outs
Tent · With kids
Sarah's farmland was amazing to stay on, nice and secluded! There was a nice cut path that we could drive our Jeep out into the woods to set up camp, the site was next to a brook which our son loved to play in! It was a breath of fresh air to get out of the typical campsite scene!

Rose Anne prepared Site #1 nicely - hung a tarp & provided some tools, too. Beautiful property. Site is about 250 yds. into the woods & quiet. Was able to drive to trailhead and part of the way to the site.
