Site 1 - Sunshine Motel Rustic Camping

Location, Location, Location. Sunshine Motel is conveniently located just outside Ontonagon and not far from the Porkies. The owners are most helpful and ready to answer any questions. We always camp rustic sites and had plenty of room to choose from for set up. Lake Superior is a short walk from the site and was roaring wonderfully the second day as the winds had picked up. Not to mention, we are forever Squatch seekers and they had a fun photo op out front and fun warning signs at camp. We had a great stay and would come back if in the area again.

Site 1 - Sunshine Motel Rustic Camping

Another visit to Sunshine campsite with family was heaven on earth, once again. Rev. & Nou’s land is a magical place that they take great pride in (as they should) and even more care and attention is paid to their land, campers, and other visitors. We have a feeling this will continue to be our annual and favorite escape.

Site 3 - Sunshine Motel Rustic Camping

This spot is so lovely! Our hosts allowed us to book the trapper’s shack at site 3 for another $10; such a gift, as it rained all night and we didn’t have to set up our tent. The shack could fit our queen air mattress easy and kept us dry all night. The beach access is lovely. The nearby town has a few restaurants that are very well loved by the locals. A fun night in ontonogan :) Great, clean and very well kept campsites.
